Hi, I'm working on this little game and I am trying to come up with a way to add a good looking foggy glow around the edge of my big mushrooms to give a mysterious, fantasy feel. So far what I have come up with is to add a Fresnel to the emissive slot in mat ed and then increase the bloom size with post processing. this is what that looks like

I don't like how staggered the edge glow is and it's intensity. One thing that comes to mind is having some flat plane with a glowing material with the shape of the mushroom masked off and making it an opacity mask blend. Then some how attaching the plane to the center of the mesh and have it always face the viewer. This would only work for the mushrooms in the background but is this possible? Would it be easier to do something with particles? I'm really stuck here thanks a lot. The mushroom textures arent done by the way I just wanted to get this glow thing worked out first.
