    Static mesh texture problem

This may sound a little odd but, i've a static mesh pretty stretched and large sized, and when i apply a texture this one gets fuzzy, so to speak, since it is as well stretche as the mesh.
Cant i tile this some way? Is ther some way to change the resolution?
Or this problem comes along with the static mesh uvs?

    Appreciated the help already!

    cheers

You should post a pic of the model. What 3d software did you use to develop the model?
If 3ds max, then it could be a few problems. If I wanted a tiled object that I previously modeled then I would tile it in 3ds max. Use a simple box or planer UV. The way it is tiled in max is the way it will look in UDK. If your shape is simplistic to where you can probably replicate the same prop or object in UDK using bsp brushes, then you can tile it well in UDK easily. There could be an option to tile your texture in UDK material editor as well from the model you imported but that would be unneccessary. I wouldn't import a model thats UV'd into UDK and stretch it unless it's texture sort of have a solid undefined color to it. I can only assume you layed out your UV'sfor the model first.
