    dynamic shadows

    Hi

    I have a question about how to set view(render) distance for dynamic shadows from the viewer point.
    I found one option under directionallightcomp. named "Whole scene dynamic shadows range" which in default is set to 0 which by info should disable dynamic shadows but it is not doing that also by changing the value it is having NO effect on dynamic shadows i have. Any ideas?

    Also why isnt dynamic shadow casting shadow on player?

    Any tips how to improve performance while using dyn. shadows without loosing much of the eye candy?

    Also i would rather use statiuc shadows for trees, plants etc but i have not found a way to make those PRECALCULATER static shadows, they only seem to work with sample models that came with UDK?
