I am looking at creating a REALLY SIMPLE rpg game with the UDK. I have done quite a bit of digging to figure out some of what I want to do.
One thing I want is to not have the weapons show and have my own HUD. I found a kismet script, via Google, that gets rid of your weapon and hides the standard HUD on startup. What I need however is to still have a crosshair that I can aim at things. For example I would like to be able to aim at a switch, have the crosshair change to a gear icon, and when I click what would have been the fire button in standard UT3, open the door.
Obviously I would like to do these things without reinventing any wheels.
Any help appreciated...and a BIG thanks to EPIC for releasing the UDK.
