The reason i messed in the router panel is that some people i found were having portforward issues

The remote is quite handy for iterating rapidly when building your interface, especially handy in the earliest of development stages, while you're getting things setup, or if you're trying to add motion sensing or multitouch. Other than that, I don't find it terribly useful beyond there.

As an aside, it shouldn't be any more difficult than "launch your game" and "run the UDKRemote app, set the server IP as your PCs IP, and go". If you're spending time in your router control panel, you're probably doing things more complex than you need to be . . (unless your idevice and your PC are on different networks)

    Very useful indeed
I never use the remote app but many people do. I prefer to launch my apps regularly to the device for testing, that gives you more of an idea how and if it works properly!
