    Scaling for ios

    Hi guys,

So I'd like to come up with a good scaling for the mobile game I'm developing. I've looked for ideas on the web but really didn't come across anything helpful. I'm thinking that 1uu = 1cm would be a bad idea. Has anyone used this for their mobile development? I know also that UT uses 1uu = 2cm. Would it be better performance-wise to go higher than this (ie 1uu = 3cm or even 4cm)?

For performance I think physical scale is largely irrelevant, you can do whatever's convenient. I usually don't find it especially useful to consider level scaling in real-world terms, as long as everything looks right.

Yes, thats right, no performance impact. Floating point numbers are used here, so you can use a scale that suits your modelling application best.

Ah, much appreciated Lacabra and Tom. I wasn't quite sure how it worked. Makes sense that it's a percentage though. So I'll just use generic units in 3DS max and everything should be proportional in the UDK then. Thanks again.
