Extract Epic base skeleton into 3ds Max to combind with your own human model

Looking at some of the post here, I know you have to add bones to your model
that have the same names as in UDK to use its animations. I have a model that I want to add bones to in 3dsmax.
Is there a bones template or animations template I could use to get me started. Also a good youtube tutorial on how
to attach the bones to the model would be nice. I have been searching a lot but don't really know where to start.

Some skeletons here at start of page:
    https://udn.epicgames.com/Three/UDKC...haracters.html
i supose the same udk skeleton at the end of the page here:
    https://udn.epicgames.com/Three/FBXA...nPipeline.html

And there are quite a few skeletons exported from ut3 which are the same as the udk bot one so yeah,in my book they are free and leagel to use and make animations with them if wanted.

In the text it says you can load and play back animations. however when I hit the space bar nothing happen.
I must be doing something wrong, I will keep trying.
