    UDK MATERIALS - Silk

    Hello all,

So i'm trying to create a silk material for a scene I'm creating and to be honest i have no clue how to go about this Was hoping somebody has maybe already done this or could help out

I found this picture on Google pretty much exactly what I want to achieve...

The material on the far right is what I'm going for.

    Help is greatly appreciated.

Ok so I actually found some pretty good custom lighting examples on this blog...

Which really helped me out a lot, looking at the different lighting type I think the ward specular model would be best for what I'm trying to achieve.

However, I've copied the material setup exactly (I think) but im not getting the same result (Image below)

    Help would be much appreciated

You can use the default phong mat.

You can use a fabric texture,
Set the material to blend translucent, make the specular pretty high and give it some specular color. That might not give you exactly what is in that picture, but I'll call it silk.
