  • 3Dmax considerations for architectural design?

    Hello everybody...
im starting this project of learning unreal to make my first videogame and, im starting with the modeling process of a house in 3Ds max, and i was wondering, as im a software engineer and not a 3Dartist myself, theres something i should take in consideration like ammount of polys, uvmaping or something??
what im trying to do its a simple interactive house, like open doors, open windows, open cabinets, grab and throw away items fro the desks/furniture, etc...

thanks in advance for the answers...!

Hmm, just try to "stay within reason". Just don't go balls out with polies, high resolutions, amounts of physical objects and amounts of intense meshes.

Other than that, there's really not much that you specifically need to prepare for to work with UDK

No, it's not UDK is a great platform for beginners, + there are millions of tutorials out there

Just start. The only way to get any good is by doing.

Make sure you use modular design. And take it slow-- one step at a time.
