It’s not often that a game for mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad ignites such anticipation before its release, but 2013: Infected Wars from Action Mobile Games has fans doing just that. With the launch of the first gameplay trailer, players can catch glimpses of this new action horror shooter game that will soon be at their fingertips.

You’ve Never Seen Mobile Gameplay Like This

2013: Infected Wars fulfills gamers’ demands by featuring unprecedented graphics for a mobile device action shooter game. The action takes place in a post apocalyptic world ravaged by a virus released by Al-Qaeda. The player takes on the roll of a mercenary hired to salvage critical supplies needed for the few remaining humans trying to survive in a world gone mad. During each episode of the game players’ tactical skills are progressively challenged with weapons modeled after real world equivalents. Action Mobile Games uses Epic’s cutting-edge Unreal 3 game engine for the iOS to craft jaw-dropping visuals of real world environments and modern weapons. Very few game development studios have the experience or knowledge to use this new platform for iPhone games.

Designing detailed environments isn’t the only thing Action Mobile paid attention to. Players will enjoy the variety of unique personalities from the characters to the creatures lurking throughout 2013: Infected Wars. Much time and attention to detail has been put into creating unique attack moves and artificial intelligence for the many foes the player must overcome. If you haven’t met Imrod, you might need to get acquainted by watching the trailer.

Friends Join Forces Against the Infected

Graphics are not the only focus for this game. One of the greatest features planned to be included in 2013: Infected Wars is the option to play with your friends. You can still choose to shoot up monsters solo but Action Mobile Games wants to ensure player can connect with friends and play as a team.

Ah that's very nice of him! as far as feedback goes.. I would honestly say keep with the lovely atmosphere you give off in the start of the trailer and the screenshots... because as soon as the action starts it just seems lacking in comparison, auto aiming 3rd person shooter with from what I can tell nothing really standout-ish terms of AI or tactics.

I feel your strongest asset is definitely your atmosphere and environments and I don't see why you would want to dampen the game as a whole with weak combat! but overall you should be happy! tis a nice looking ios app!

Thanks for the feedback. In this game you basically tap on the zombie, it'll get 'locked' as a target and then shoot. Since we are going to spawn alot of enemies at once, we found that swipe aiming is really frustrating and difficult when dealing with them everywhere so we went for a 'tap to select and shoot' design. Though this made combat easier for the player yet it is still challenging and fun. As far as AI and tactics are concerned, you know this is a zombie a game and the enemies do not hold machine guns and shoot you behind walls (except for one boss), they just standing there and attack you in big groups, and believe it or not it's alot of fun. The aim is to emphasize on the horror element, thus we decided to have most of the enemies do melee attacks and make them really intense.
