"Enola" - ludum dare 22 competition entry

This weekend I was making a game for the ludum dare 48 hour competition, and Enola is the result (actually that title is just "alone" written backwards, and you have to figure out why). The game is made in UDK, and began to wonder what it would take to make the full game, in case there's enough interest, of course.

This is the link to the entry, and there's also the source code. The game is very simple, though, so you won't be learning many new Unreal Script tricks from it :P

I'll be making a post mortem on the ludumdare blog, and I'll be reposting it here to share the experience.

Neat! I'm impressed that someone would be daring enough to use UDK for a ludum dare project, it takes me so long to do things. :P

Very interesting game for only 48 hours. Absolutely hate the weird laugh when you pick up the orbs though (I realize you said the sound wasn't so good). You should keep going with it and see what sort of weirdness you can spring on the player. Its sort of like a journey down the rabbit hole so to speak...you should just make it get weirder and weirder the further you go. Could make for a fun little ipad game or at the very least intriguing.

Well to tell the truth I also hate the sound when you pick up the orbs, ha! But I didn't know if using library sounds was allowed in the competition so I recorded everything myself that same day :-/

I did like the idea of taking this game to the next level, though. 2 other guys and myself began working on it a couple of months ago. We had a basic idea but it's constantly changing as we discover more of this world and story ourselves, I mean, we get to know how crazy the antagonist is. We have an indieDB page where we post updates on the game http://www.indiedb.com/games/enola
