    Somnia (VFS Student Project)

Somnia is a third-person action/adventure game where the player controls a lizard-like creature named Kibo. Kibo lives in the dream world of Somnia: a place in which the dreams of humans wander while they're asleep. Kibo is the new guardian of Somnia and must maintain balance in the world by collecting the dreams and stopping the enemy Golem from turning those dreams into nightmares.

I created this along with 5 friends in a production cycle of 3 months (1 month pre-pro, 2 month dev). Our game concept completely changed at the end of pre-pro, so it cut into our dev time a little bit, but we're happy with the decision we made.

Below is a link to my portfolio where you may find more information on the game, along with screen shot's, trailer, and a downloadable version.

    We used UDK 09.

Check out Somnia under the Level Design Section or Game Design Section.
I created the ingame musical score and the levels of somnia from paper-layouts, to propping, to kismet, to lighting and enemy encounters. I would like to work on the game more to reach a higher level of polish, however I have started on a new project with a new team.

    Enjoy.
