    Drifters Recruiting!! Urgently need Env. Artist,Animator, Programmer!!



    Description:
    Drifters: Prophecy & Destiny is a singleplayer story charting the tale of a band of pirates who washed up on the mysterious shores of Avalon. In this epic adventure, players take control of Eric, a first mate aboard the Ecuador, a vessel belonging to the Burning Sun Pirates. This tech demo will take players on an astonishing adventure, battling deadly creatures and scurrilous bosses.

    Drifters: Prophecy and Destiny
    As the Burning Sun pirate fleet is returning from a successful campaign, they encounter several hostile ships blockading the route home. As the rowdy pirates engage in a brutal and bloody sea battle, a spectral storm gathers rapidly, appearing seemingly from nowhere. As surviving crews try to flee, they are ensnared in the myriad of vicious whirlpools surrounding them.

    As darkness begins to fade, Eric awakens to the violent roar of waves crashing against the towering rocks. Finding himself washed up on the shores of a distant island, he immediately ventures away from the desolate coast and towards the greenery of the forest further inland. As Eric beats his way through the remnants of an overgrown jungle pathway, he begins to feel a gut-wrenching sense of déjà vu and is engulfed by a sudden awareness of an evil atmosphere. Fighting against the thick vegetation of mother nature, progressing ever deeper into the woodland, he stumbles through a fantastical kingdom of fascinating flora and finally upon an old, ruined village, the long dead remains of a forgotten society.
    Within the skeletal remains of the town, he encounters a young and beautiful native woman in grave danger. Thinking quickly and acting with tremendous courage, Eric rushes to her aid, escorting her to her nearby hometown. En route, he discovers that she is Elena, a priestess. As they embark on a journey which will change Eric's life forever, progressing slowly through the woods, Eric starts to recall an old tale from his childhood. The wildlife and foliage brought back a long lost memory of his sister telling him a story... A story of an ancient god sealed within a rift on the island of Avalon. Could this be that very same island?
    Eric's mind is snapped back into reality when they arrive at the guarded gates of a thriving settlement. They are summoned before the Chieftain. The wise, old chief informs Eric of an ancient prophecy passed down through countless generations, a prophecy known as the Prophecy of the Drifters. As if possessed, an oracle recited these words:

    “In time, strangers will come from beyond the horizon,
    They will hail from a realm far away from our world,
    Only they possess the power more mighty than the sun,
    They will determine our fate, we can but watch it unfold.
    These men I speak of are the Drifters, deciders of destiny.”


    The chief then turns and stares at Eric, as if to imply that he holds this power, as if to say he is a Drifter. He then explains that this is his destiny and that he must fight and fulfil this in order to leave this place. And so Eric joins the most epic and bloody struggle he has ever seen... The Prophecy of the Drifters has been realised.


    Gameplay

    Game Type:
    -> Fantasy
    -> 3rd Person
    -> Action Oriented Role Playing Game

    Game Features
    These are the list of features with in demo.

    -> Fast pace action combat. Players will engage in a fast paced battles with enemies and bosses where speed, dodging and strategy counts.

    -> Different class fighting styles. Players will have to learn and perfect his or her fighting style with the selected character class. Game has 2 basic fighting systems range and close-combat.

    -> 3 Character Class:
    -> Warrior Class: Players will have access to Knight of Warrior Class, which is a close combat fighter who uses Sword, Shield and Skills to dominate Foes. Knights are front-line fighters who take on their enemies using sword and shield.
    -> Ranger Class: Players will have access to Archer/Hunter of Ranger Class, which is a long range fighter who uses Bow, Arrow and Skills to dominate foes. Archer/Hunter battles their foes at a distance but is at a disadvantage when their foes close in, and often attempt to evade or restrain enemies so that they can continue fighting from a safe distance.
    -> Mage Class: Players will have access to Elementalist of Mage Class, which is a long range fighter who uses Powerful Spells to dominate Foes. Elementalists can only summons the powers of , Air, Fire, and Water/Ice and command them at will. Also summon supporting to offensive elemental creatures to fight alongside them. They are very powerful in offensive spells but can be overwhelmed by enemies due to their physical frailty and minimal armor. (Earth and Lighting element will be added in beta.)

    -> Spells and Skills. Players will have access to around 25 powerful spell or 25 powerful skill depending on the classes which can change the tide of battle and will heavy determine the outcome of battles.

    -> Crafting and Material Gather (Basic systems). Players will be able to gather around 27 different materials via mining, harvesting and from looting the enemy or buying them from merchants which they can use to craft from enchanted- unique Weapons, armor, other crafting materials and consumable items.

    -> Massive Maps. Players will have 5 large terrains to explore and discover hidden treasures and such, thus giving you tons of things to do and achieve in game.

    Beta Version Full Features will be release at a later date when we finish Single player and mover from royalty to paid. (After funding)


    Our Plans For The Team:

    As of October 1st 2013, we will be working towards our fund rasier campaign (either Kickstarter or Indiegogo), fund rasier will raise money to release the complete Singleplayer game, and then we will release DLC (containing new maps, skills, spells and extended the singleplayer storyline) along with the Multiplayer Beta version later.

    Major Requirements:
    -> Must be active on skype, able to communicate regularly and check in with updates.
    -> Must have atleast 15 - 20 hours a week to contribute. We are only interested in people who can actually do that. Many of our core team already put in 30+ hours a week, so you will need to keep up.

                    May I ask how long the project has been in development? I'm curios, because you guys have like 7 programmers and yet so little was done, I mean a junior programmer could have done it in 4 to 6 weeks tops.

                    Arts looks nice though, so good job at that front.

                        Thats strange, how you have that much programmers and so little done?, me and one teammate were way ahead in like less than a month, we just didnt have any art

                          Why does everyone do this... *sigh*

                          we started in February but could get any programmers what so ever to join team for 4 months.. so we started and focus on graphic side of things hoping that one of our progress post will attract a programmer. it took us up till mild of june to get these programmers and there started to work the last week of june. so at end of month will make them 1 month old in team.

                          We had other codes but there were unstable, and since the team is volunteer.. there was 12 days with the 1 month programmer were unable ot work because there had to deal with personal problems. the guy who did the AI system is on vacation in another country while he still works on coding side its hard for him to update his code on gitlab.

                          but we have put a new milestone in place and should have a playable EXE of beach level with some working combat and a few other stuff... More info on how you can download and play the EXE will be posted up soon enough.

                          So please have some patient with our programming team. If you had complain about art side we have no excuse there.. But thanks for your feed backs.
