Fraktured Games Recruiting - Many positions available

    [shot]http://i958.photobucket.com/albums/ae70/whickedhp/FrakturedLogoWhite.jpg[/shot]

    Who are we?
Fraktured Games is comprised of the UDK Learning University Game Development Team.

Story of Desperate Times: You are one of the few surviving members of a city that is caught in an endless time warp. With your townsman, you try your best to defend against the onslaught of the relentless hordes of enemies trying to kill you. Using whatever the time shift gives you, you defend the outpost until your last dying breath.

Core Gameplay: The players are the defenders of their city. They will have to fight off hordes of incoming enemies. The players will need to defend against 20 waves of enemies to successfully save their city. Each city has a protective wall and buildable defense towers that will prevent the enemies from entering the city until they break down the gate. Once the horde breaks down the gate, hundreds of enemies will storm the city and start attacking the players. Enemies will be attracted to the defense towers, the time crystal shard, and the players. The players will have a short time before the horde reaches the gate to choose to build a tower or attempt to find random upgrades for their character. Each city will have a start with 2 tower build areas, and during the ‘last stand’ the character will be able to place an emergency tower near the crystal shard.

I think you need a little more detail, and definetly some progress of work. What do you have? Do you have the GDD (Game design document) ? You need way more description than that.

Actually. these guys are fairly well prepared as far as I know. They should provide more info in the post rather than in links to other posts though, imo.

@Thazzrill - Yes we do have a GDD.
@juguefre - Yes it will be fun to read.
@fragfest2012 - The reason I put the positions as links was to keep the main post from being too clogged. I wanted it to be easily readable without feeling like a book.

I will edit the first post to include the svn information which contains the GDD and accompanying files.

Ok, finally had some time to address this thread.

@Thazzrill, Yes we have a GDD. It's currently on the SVN, however I have not had a moment to update the WIP thread yet. However, thank you for the kind reminder. Since this is a recruitment thread, I'm not sure if if its appropriate to include a lot of WIP within this thread, however I do agree we should provide a reasonable means to find that information. I believe Jeremy (Oranor) has done so by providing our website, SVN, FB page, and contact info, as well as posting pics of our progress. I'll be updating my sig to include links to the major threads on the Epic Forums.

@juguefre, you're more than welcome to provide feedback, but please keep it constructive. Your history with Lee (Archie_Vision) is well documented.

@fragfest2012, thank you for the feedback. I agree that all the information needed to be provided within one said thread. Jeremy has updated the thread with the what we're looking for of each position.

Oh come on...... is not constructive to warning a guy that a gun of 26000+ tris is by no means ready for animation?.........now I end up being the bad guy....**runs away crying**..........

@juguefre - in regards to that model discussion, the information you provided was constructive. However, the delivery of previous feedback needed a touch more work. I'm not calling you the bad guy as I believe my personality and Lee's differs somewhat when it comes to feedback from members of this forum. How about this... we give each other a clean slate. We make no assumptions about one another. If you provide feedback, I give you my word to take the feedback in a positive light and all I ask if I ask for clarification or some details that you try to provide those.

@splashofartstudios, Your deviantart portfolio is nice. It shows that you're capable and that you have variety of skills. I love your paintings even. I'll send you a email asap.

                        PMs and emails sent.

Will have Jeremy update the primary thread with the application process to ensure that we're being as transparent as possible.

We have streamlined our application process by using a google docs form as we were receiving more than a few emails.
