      Ok got the Lambo to show up and I'm starting to think its going to be heaps of fun, so cheers again! I still have a few quirks to solve like missing exhaust fume textures? Also, please advise how to dial-down the windscreen 'glare' effect because unlike yours @ 3:46 here its brutal on my sun setup? Plus, is it possible to have a proper more aggressive lambo sound while driving like in your first update @0:43 here?

      Overall, everything that would normally cause this type of thing, the skelmesh, physics asset, animtree etc, all match fine between UC and UPK... There are still a lot of broken references to package 'gaz661_holden_ute' and 'peugot_206', but why is the actor factory generating null here:

      Strike that, there's a VehicleClassPath string that refers to the default UTGame\Classes folder, so all *.uc files should reside under UTGame just fine.

      Installed the peugot_206 along with the Lambo on 2nd rig to see if there were cross dependencies. But same problem, nether car shows up in-game.

      Anyone else test-driven the Lambo yet? Its not showing up in-game for me (using Feb-2013 build).

        ah,sorry.in my haste I forgot to change the particle systems in the animtree.I will update the zip this afternoon.

        or you can manually insert the glass break effect from my peugot to the window damage in the animtree.

        I did notice when I transferred the car to 2013-02 udk that the car wont spawn if dragged from the actor classes tab of the content browser but works fine if spawned fron an actor factory.not sure why.i will check the collision again but im sure ive already tried this.


        edit: i just changed the line

        in the veicle factory and got 30 warnings. I then changed it back and still get the same warnings.none of these occurred when initially installing all files as is to the utgame folder.looking into it now.

          to change the exhaust tone to the one in the first update(which isn't actually revving with the engine),open the running sound cue and swap the soundnode wave running1 for running.you may also need to change to one of the other(commented out) rpm curves in the vehicle file to get it as it was in the vid.

          for the windscreen,open the glass material and set the node connected to specular to less than 1.

          edit. after removing the .uc files and recompiling then reinstalling the files everything works fine.just those missing particles for the windows.

            Notes:

            Overall both cars run great. I love how the Peugot pulls to the side, it reminds me of old bangers I used to own!
            Seems there's a Handbreak included too?.... Any more useful stuff like that?
            For me the Handbreak is bound to the Red-B on an PC xbox controller, but I can't find the equivalent keypress???

            Minor Bugs:

            Broken Glass:
            Neither Peugot or Lambo glass particles ever appear, or any windscreen fracture (assuming that's why the PhysX asset is there).
            What's key is that I still get a UPK error. There seems to be a lost dependency linking back to: gaz661_holden_ute.Effects.glass_break

            Other:
            When the car flips on its back, you can't right it. The 'righting' mechanism icon appears, but it doesn't work.
            After the Lambo takes damage the steering wheel sometimes starts to spin on its own axis...

            Fixes / Tweaks:

            Windscreen Glare:
            Settled on a lower specular input of 0.05 and it looks great (I use a bright DDL).

            Exhaust Particles:
            Exsmoke wasn't working for the Lambo. I added the Peugot UPK and force copied over its Exsmoke. After resaving the UPK it worked.

            Engine Sound:
            Followed your directions and understand the limitations.
            I cranked up the volume by 5 to give it teeth. Its sounds better, more raw, even if it is out of sync.
            (I'm only beginning to appreciate how much of an art there is to this!)

                Very cool gaz!Was wandering why did the rex continued to attack the dragster since the pawn was not inside or is it made to behave like that on purpose?(a jurassic park game is quite duable in udk with better framerate.We just have to steal Cobalts big terrains while he's afk XD)

                  I think Gaz661 is a man who very much enjoys his work, his gadgets, weapons, zombies and now dinosaurs.
                  Who else? ... CobaltUDK, for his vistas and highly-customisable characters and what else? Oh yeah, the naked curvy ninjettes!

                    the terrain in the t-rex vid is the full 10kx10k.ive been slowly filling it in (30% done).ive just been trying to find something to do with the map.

                    the t-rex attacks the car because it locks on to the initial target rather than the player.if it first sees you while not in a car,your f*****!
