BUG with shadows of speed Tree

    Greetings my fellas!

I have been studying UDK from since 5 months ago and I like to use speed Tree for modelling trees. But something strange happens.. When I put the static speedTree models on my map, the shadows are perfct, the shadows include trunks, brahnces and leaves...

Howeveer when I click on Build Lights, the shadows becomes bugged... Like a blur or something very ugly.

Here the shadows working before build lights

And here is the shado after build lights O_o

I suspect this happens because my speed tree is not full version! May be my theory right? or what is the problem?

I think it's to do with your Landscape or Terrain lighting resolution. If you are using a Landscape, go into it's properties and change it's 'Static Lighting Resolution' to about 3 or 4. Setting the value too high will use more RAM and may crash Unreal Lightmass when building lighting.

If you're using terrain, do the same thing. The value may already be at 4, so try increasing it a little and see how well it improves. =)

Well, after increasing the resolution and build lights, the shadow are better defined, however, the leaves do not appear, what should I do? invrease the resoltuion even more?

Select a tree an see if in its options use precomputes shadows are activated. If so deactivate them but be aware that in big scales it will eat performance.Other thing is to do,if you are using a dominant directional light open its properties and in whole scene dynamic shadow radius if its at 0 put somethng like 2000(it eats performance too )
