    Update: I think I have a good collision model on the skeletal mesh by creating one in the Phat and linking it to the skeletal mesh. collision works and so does animation on the skeletal mesh now in game, but the character does not follow the ship as it moves. I'll touch the ship, standing on the collision model, and the ship starts moving without me until it passes me and I fall. Any ideas?

    Problem animating Phat objects

    Ok this should be quick, I feel like I'm really close. Been searching for a while now tho with no luck.

    All I'm trying to do is trigger a custom animation on a Phat object in game. I made the skeletal mesh a Phat because I need decent collision on it (its going to transport the character). Got the skeletal mesh and the animations in and that animated fine. Converted it to a Phat and linked the animation in the phat viewport, which worked fine. But using matinee to trigger the animation in the same way as the skeletal did not work, and I haven't been able to figure out how to trigger it.
