Creating and using a Custom Character in a custom UDK Game

I'm currently working on a tutorial covering the basics and something more of creating and implementing a custom character in a custom UDK game.

up to now I only covered the very basics (Setting up in software and exporting/importing, Setting up skeletal mesh, creating AnimSet/Animtree) but I would like you to take a look and maybe tell me all my english errors

Thanks sneppy! I'm having similar problems that the Agent had a while ago. Can't get my head around Animtrees. I've seen Wraiyth's tuts, got basic runs crouches etc working on my custom char and anims on vehicles but that's all so far. I appreciate more tuts with different perspectives on animtrees. Very useful

(and weeelll, I guess my imagination is limited ><)

                    Thanks, sneppy!

                    I arrived at wip.

Also in your sneppy channel here: "Assuming that you know how to reference an animnode in unrealscript (Otherwise look at this site" link problem: Error establishing a database connection - but maybe this is only a problem from my connection.

Anyway, I got that working with help from your tutorial and other tutorials. My character has different guns and more or less holds them properly so I still have work to do with the AimNode.
For some reason I usually need many perspectives to gain an all-round understanding of systems before I feel confident. After that I work quite fast, getting to that point is the tough bit.

My animtree is getting large but that's fine. I've been doing other things up to now in UDK so I have to get back into the AnimTree and on to the custom reload.

I appreciate your hard work with tuts.

hey did you use an animatable head or a simple head with no morphing ( i'm talking about the time when you created your character in max )
