    Default Possible Flashback Maps For Judgment ( Voting Has Ended)

    Flashback Maps Wanted!


    *Voting is over guys. I want to give a big thanks to my buddy bchaps for helping me count these map votes and thanks to all of you for voting. Hopefully we will see some of these maps in future DLC.


    I made this thread for you, the community, to vote on what maps you guys would like to see come back and be put into Judgment.

    All you need to do is leave your favorite list of maps in the thread, and at the end of each day I will update the thread with the polls.

    We all know not every map is going to make it, so pick some of your favorites from Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3.

    I would have to vote Gridlock like it has been in every gears up until now and was always a nice little map to play on and Jacinto was one of my favorite from gears 2

    There are a bunch of maps that I think could fit into Judgment very well.

    I made these choices based off of their ability to work for FFA as well as team games.
    I also took into account that there is more verticality in this game than in previous titles.
    These maps all seem to have some level of verticality, or could easily have some with small adjustments.

    The major things to take into account when voting on maps is:
    - Verticallity
    - Team Gameplay Balance
    - FFA Spawning and respawning
    - Weapon Damage
    - Single Loadouts
    - Openness of areas

    These didn't quite make the final cut, but I think would still be nice

    Remember, this is a new game...it plays differently.

    Not only is the balance different, but there is verticality, and the map needs to be able to work for FFA.

    Memorial would be interesting in Judgment. You can jump down to Boomshot, the stairs leading up to the Sniper, and down to the nades.

    I'd love to see how it would work.

    I'm going for Canals, Mansion, Sanctuary and Memorial.
    They're all big enough to work in FFA, have different sized chokepoints for single gun loadouts and have a verticle aspect to them.


    As much as I loved Security I can't see it working in FFA

    So we've got a chance of getting back some of our favorite maps from Gears 2 and 3? That's pretty cool- if EPIC actually deliver on this like we know they can, it'd be fantastic.

    As for my choices, picked some of the ones I thought would work best with how Judgment plays, whilst picking maps of different sizes to mix it up a little. I think Security would work really well especially as it already has that 'interactive' element they've been trying to include in some the current maps for GowJ.

    Well Jim says that if a map makes a return it would be drastically different than it was before. I could see them extending the hangar and warehouse adding a second floor to each with a Breechshot or Booshka up there. I'd design the map myself if it means it would come back. Jim hit me up!     Gridlock, War Machine, Fuel Depot, Security, Checkout, River, Hotel, Clocktower, Raven Down, Mercy. Doesn't matter if they are small, it will make the game somewhat faster than what it is right now. But before adding more maps, they should fix the game some.

    I already voted...but thought I'd put my opinions out there in more detail



    MAP CHANGES
    Academy I'd like to see spawns raised up more.
    Possibly a ring from spawn to longshot to other spawn, to boomshot that are raised up, and have the central part be lower
    Aftermath I think this could work as is
    Allfathers Garden This is a great map, it could probably work As Is...but I'd rather see others
    Anvil I could see this map having elevated catwalks added that move from Boltok over to behind the wall near power weapon
    Artillery Once again, great map, but I wouldn't really want to see it
    Avalanche I would like to see the mulcher side copied to the boomshield side....to make it symetric in that direction as well
    Then add a catwalk going from side to side...and intersecting with the top of the 'nade house (so that before the avalance, you can still get there)
    Azura I don't think this map would work
    Blood Drive I would like to see this map return, but have a pathway where you mantle out of 'nades, and you are on a path that goes from 'nade to 'nade as well as running along above snipe to scorcher
    Bullet Marsh I don't think it would work
    Canals This map could honestly work as is, but I'd rather see others
    Checkout I LOVE this map...but I don't think it would work as well as some others
    Clocktower This map is great...but I don't think it would work too well
    Courtyard This map could work as is
    possibly adding a catwalk going from spawn to spawn over top of the middle of the map
    Cove I don't think this map will work
    Day One This could work As Is
    Depths I don't think this map will work
    Drydock This map would be interesting if the spawn locations were both 2 stories
    Escalation I HATE this map...and don't think it will work
    Flood This map could probably work As Is...but I'd rather see others
    Fuel Depot This map could work if they added a 2nd story that is accessible inside the building...and opened the roof of the hanger
    Fuel Station This map could work As Is
    Gold Rush This map could work As Is
    It would actually be an awesome map if they lowered the 2nd story, so that the fall wouldn't kill you
    Gridlock I don't think this will work out too well
    Grind Yard This map could work As IS
    Hail I didn't really like this map that much, but it could work As Is
    Highway This is a great map, and could work As Is
    Hotel I don't think this map would work too well
    Jacinto This map could work...I'd make 1 change
    Add a curved walkway going from the back stairs of 'nade towers around behind HoD/Boomshot (over the fountain)
    Mansion I Love this map...but don't think it would work too well
    Memorial This map probably will work As Is
    ...it may need a few small expansions
    Mercy I don't think this will work that well
    Nowhere This map may work if they made all of the buildings 2 stories (and accessible)
    Old Town I don't think this would work
    Overpass No...just no
    Pavilion Fun map, but I don't think it would work
    Raven Down Only would work if all of the building were accessible and 2 stories
    ....but it wouldn't feel like the same map
    River I think this would work with a change I heard from Blue Dodger
    add sections going from the river to a basement of the buildings...then ramps going up to the first floor
    Ruins This map could work...but I'd like to see one change
    I'd like to see another walkway going across the middle...so the overarching walkway is a cross in each direction
    Rustlung This may work if 2nd story sections are accessible
    ...but I don't think it would work
    Sanctuary This map could work As Is
    Sandbar I don't think this would work
    Security I LOVE this map...but I don't think it would work
    Stasis I didn't like this map...but it may work
    Subway This map could work As Is
    The Slab I don't think this map will work
    Thrashball I don't think this map will work
    Trenches I don't think this map will work
    Tyro Station This map may work...but I don't know...
    Under Hill I don't think this will work too well...though I did enjoy the map
    War Machine This map could work As Is
    ...but it may be nice if the longshot section was raised like the mulcher section
    Way Station This map is great...but I don't think it would work

    Sorry yeah I don't know how to type in red, new to these forums. Shouldn't have used "fix". I personally think that they should change a few things. Like locust in multiplayer, DBNO in all game types excluding FFA since there would be no point in that being in FFA. And a few other changes. Just my opinion though.

    Remember, we should be choosing maps with 'vertical' portions in the map. Meaning the maps in Judgment are designed for falls from ledges etc. Most maps that are listed are not designed for this capability, ie: Security, Raven Down, etc.. In a previous post I mentioned Stasis. This could possibly be incorporated into this 'vertical' type of gameplay, especially from the center catwalk and from both spawns.

    So Clone was told that he should probably just include GoW2 and GoW3 maps...and any GoW1 maps that were remade for 2 or 3

    So, to change color, highlight the text you wanna change.
    Click the button at the top that looks like an "A" with a down arrow next to it.
    Then select the color
