How can I replace enemy bot mesh with custom mesh?
I have recently been looking through the forums and other resources about how I can replace the standard bots mesh but all I end up finding is replacing the player mesh.
I am currently working on creating a game as project in a group and we have already got the custom player mesh into UDK with anims etc. and all working in the engine, but with time constraints and lack of knowledge in the area, we can't create custom AI.
So really, all we want to do is use the UDK bots with our own custom meshes.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
The only way i know is to dig for the original Bots .uc and replace meshes and some funtions, yet i wouldn't recommend doing so..
One possible way would be:
Create your own class which extends from UDK Bots, and then work your way out(with the meshes) as you did with players
Tips to find for yourself:
Do some research on the original UDK Bots
P.S.:I'm still at the very beginning of learning UDK,and i don't think i can do more in-depth helping,so you might as well ignore this post
Very good answer!! thanks for your sharing
