Smile Custom UT2004 Voice Pack Links (More than 100 VPs counted!)

I've created the list of custom voice packs for UT2004 with links on the highlights below to give some of average players who is still playing UT2004 and/or newcomers who will love to play this game around and gave the more interest in this modification.

Voice Packs are my favorite set of end-user made modification for computer games made in general. They add a layer of color and personality to the game, and help to immerse the player into the game's world. I've included the authors on the left for making one of the voice packs each separately and some mirrors here to make available instead you've gave a dead link through one of the threads with ORANGE highlight. I've split them into eight categories in purple bold text and they are sorted alphabetically, just choose your VPs anything you want. And also the underlined words are my voice packs (see the author on the right). So here are the results:

    Summary/Highlights:
RED - Epic Forum link with dead download links, nothing posting new download links.
ORANGE - Epic Forum link with dead download links but mirrors included in this thread.
GREEN - Epic Forum link with full download links available (at the first post).
SKY BLUE - Mirrored via UTzone.de but no Epic Forum link.
BLUE - Mirrored via GameFront and other sites but no Epic Forum link.
DARK GOLD - Information of the voice pack via my homepage, not the Epic Forum link.

Nice work there! I'd say this should be stickied in one of the mods sections.

Thanks bud, I really appreciate it. I don't mind to tell the admins to sticky this thread. And oh, I've brought your voice packs to UTzone.de, so update your sig.

Updated. I see that you made "Duncan Macleod" VP right, I guess so your alternate author name was "beebeegun" from the L4Y, when I downloaded that since April 2011. I've checked the ReadMe file of that VP and it seems it doesn't include the author. But thanks anyway.

It seems quite a few people are still playing this game, then? (My sister's comp can't play UT3, so I had to re-install UT2k4, after I moved in with her. (Network games of UT2k4 ftw!)). Thanks for this list, since I've now got to go around and re-discover all the mods I used to have for this game.

One voicepack you don't have on this list is the one I created - (Blues Brothers) - years ago before I moved and my amp died when I had to move (Thankfully the gamefront link still works - fileplanet's is dead).

    http://www.gamefront.com/files/39069...ers_Voice_Pack (Collection of 6)

(TBH, since the UT2k4 gamefront links are still working, I've bookmarked http://www.gamefront.com/files/listi...ns/Voice_Packs aswell).

Why thank you sir, appreciated and great pleasure! (that's why some of us were still playing the game all around online/offline, and welcome back to the UT2004 universe mate) Almost forgot to added the Blues Brothers voice pack to the "TV/Movies" section (see first post and look for the VP).

I'd like to upload another voice pack I made for my sister - (A Garfield one) - but I'm having problems submitting them to gamefront- just keeps on reloading the page after I click submit, leaving the game field empty. (I'd like to make some more voicepacks too - (my sister wants a Muppets one)).

Use MediaFire or other file hosting sites to upload your new VP. For almost, I'll post your new VP at UTzone.de in case you won't miss (it's a German site with the collection of old/new UT files ).

I know about utzone.de - but I don't speak, read or write German

    My Garfield voicepack is here:

    Thanks...

(P.s. what did you think to the Blues Brothers pack?)

Very good. Your voice packs had some dazzling quality (8 years ago) but you literally keep the default strings (or standard texts) and abbreviations in the whole section which does bit far enough.

I can't remember what guide I had to making them at the time - but I remember I followed it as closely as I could, (and UnrealEd at the time was quite finicky). With the voicepackager available now, it should be quite a bit easier to fix things like that...? All I know is that I've got a long list of voicepacks I (and my sister) would like to create, now... (Starting with Muppet Treasure Island, though I'm testing a pack using the Muppet show Season 1 trailer, first.) Shame we don't have all the models we'd like to go with them. (I'm sure we've lost some models over the years - I'm sure I remember a Kermit the Frog model? Actually, I get the feeling we've lost quite a few things for this game over the years...)

Taken me a while to find a program to rip audio from DVD's - (which should be higher quality than recording through an amp from video-tape, as I did before!) - though now it should be pretty simple using Cubase and the voicepackager. I'm sure I had problems with the sample-rate before, too - not sure if I used (8-bit) 11 or 22khz.

Thanks! Added to the "Male Fictional Characters" section (sorted alphabetically).

the only thing I found is some kind of gamefront link that seems to not work for some missing voices here

    http://www.gamefront.com/files/3323955/Unicron.zip
    http://www.gamefront.com/files/3320836/laocorn.zip

Hmm. Odd. Quite rather those VPs are originally came out through UT2003HQ.com which the site is dead, and it also uses the old FileFront hosting, however they are unavailable nowadays. Thanks for inspecting these though.

Yeah and I found no way to get them however I think the only way is probably to get a good file search engine to find these, but I'm not sure it will work anyway. When filefront moved they lost a lot of stuff wich is very sad. a lot of people lost their content just because the site moved

Saw two VPs earlier, belongs to UT2003. Unfortunately, those things won't work for UT2004 because they have no INT files and few bugs implemented.

    Unhappy

Sorry to say guys that I've got an experienced problems with my Dropbox account. The direct DL links and titles with gold highlight came from my Dropbox account have been disabled; long time it will be restored sooner or later (I think).

Keep an eye out for this.

There isn't enough Trek in here. UT99 had more Trek VPs, strange 2004 doesn't considering how more Sci-fi it is.

Also FYI, James T. Kirk is not from "Star Wars: The Original Series".

Syex made Scotty, Chekov and Sulu VPs for UT99, I wish I would port this to UT2004 by contacting him (sure that doesn't contain permission words in the ReadMe), guess I will find out.

...and, fixed the Kirk VP from the original TV source.

    Lightbulb Great news.

VP names with gold highlight and URLs came from my Dropbox account have been moved to my homepage now (leaving Dropbox now and mostly not gaving restored my public links one months for now, quite send PM from Dropbox and didn't respond for more than 10 days ). The DL links from the pages I made are directed to UT-Files.com, hopefully this won't happen for sure.

Since there are new voice packs added this year, Catatafish have made several VPs based on video games starting September 21, 2012. Like his work though. You can visit the Mod DB page for his VPs:

    http://www.moddb.com/mods/alexanders-voice-vault

Keep UT2004 alive and I don't think I have to upload my VPs to the site just now.

EDIT: Hmm, can't update the first post because it has exceeded 30,000 characters (including BBCodes), I will minimize soon as my new site established.

Is anyone else getting an issue with the game when you have to many VP`s installed?.I can only have like 5-10 in my game without causing any problems when clicking on the player setting.

describe the problems you are having,
i have about 50 character voice packs installed,
i don't have really any issues,
although when i select player setting - it takes 10 seconds to load that menu,
but i have an abundance of custom character models installed, and i think it loads all of their portraits, i think that is what takes so long
