Default Im trying to make my own HUD and I have no clue what I'm doing..WTF is Scaleform?

OK, so I'm making a game for my Gaming and Graphics Design class and I need a custom HUD for it (it's an RPG). I Googled and looked into it and all I've figured out is that i should use Scaleform but I can't figure out what it is or how to use it or ever were to get it or if it came with UDK and is hiding in some remote corner in the folders. I've watched the 11 part series on YouTube about Scaleform but I still have no clue what it is or how to use it/find it. Can someone explain this? as well as the link to a nice tutorial that explains what it is or how to use Scaleform or how to get thees "kits" they have. And he doesn't know how either so I'm on my own. Thank you in advance

Scaleform is a flash based user interface to put it simple, it stays clean looking not matter what the resoltion is easy to create, maintain and is alot less buggy then the standard udk user interface stuff.

also looks professional, i suggest having a look at Scaleforms youtube channel to get stared
