    Default New tutorial book WIP

    hey guys.

    Just want to lay a post out ti se who is interestet. im starting to convert my ref book to a tutorial book because that trough my short time i have been a member of this community, i see, like a lot of you properly allso do that not only do people ask a lot of the same basics proplems as we all did then we startet. but answers to advansed stuff is really hard to find, for some foks, especialy me.

    it is still lot of work in prosess, but the idea is that i shall cover all the need of a hoppy and sigle develupber that whant to make a non UT game, form the installing of UDK to the publishing with all that come in betvine, like modeling - animation - cammeras - Weapon setup - inventory - ETC.

    If enyone have some tutorials they know of or made then self, i whud like to know. i will ofcouse properly credit every one.

    okay here is the first opdate, i have just finished of the setting op blender and UDK part of the book, it only took like 16 pages to do that, i allso addid in some stuf to think about then making your first game, some of the things i though about, if any one want to try it you i upload it and cep working, if not im going to cep working and let you know then the next advance is near.

    okay ^^ i had a problem with some scaling in unreal scipt, but fixed it my self, since no one ells whud help me, just wondering how do you get help here ?
    i have a succes rate of 40% so far, lot of qiustions that newer get answered.

    hehe well i think that is the problem with this forum, a lot know the basic a few know the advanced part, and even fewer whants to share that info or they simply forget it ^^

    OneNote is really nice for doing write-as-you-learn documents. It has a really handy insert screen grab tool, you can link to videos and add attachments, and it syncs to Skydrive so it is really easy to maintain.
    Then you can share the NoteBook via a link.

    Hi Tom. Congratulations for your book. Great work. It's on my bedside table! It has helped me several times, in some trouble ...

    Few topics that I'm interested:
    1 - How Inventory works (Single Player and Multiplayer)
    2 - How to set OnlineStats and Achievements
    3 - How to set ammo number directly on a weapon mesh (overlay?)
    4 - Step by Step level design creation with the current editor. ie Take a small map that you will do step by step with some basic BSP, static mesh, lights, sounds, player start position etc...
    5 - Map Setup for the basic game like TeamDeathMatch, CTF, ...
    6 - Make a Cloak Material ^^
    7 - How to call webservices from UDK to get information from a website/database (HTTP & HTTPS)
    8 - How to create a Key Setting interface to bind Key with Commands in game.
    9 - Step by Step Character creation + animation + export + setup in UDK <= This one will be owesome
    10 - How to create a Character with customisation + UI for customisation. Like changing Hair, Armor part, Face, Tatoo etc..

    Maybe some tutorial already exists in the forum on this. But if I can get one document with all those topics that will be easier for my learning curve.
    I bet it's a lot of work to create such book! Good luck with your task!
