    I made this thread in response to the above statement by Quinn. I have since turned it into a thread dedicated not only to weapon swaps, but also to weapon tweaks and XP modifiers for each game mode as well.

    (How this works)
    Take your XP on the scoreboard and multiply it by the number next to the gamemode you're playing. That's how much XP from just what's shown on the scoreboard you'll be awarded in the after-match summary screen
    This also applies to your Execution Bonus for a map.

    General Updates:

    UPDATE #16: 2x XP for the 4th of July Event. I have updated the Multipliers accordingly.UPDATE #15: It was only temporary.UPDATE #14: Incendiary Grenades have replaced Ink Grenades on Drydock. This may only be temporary. (Source)
    Update #13: I have added all Overhead Maps to the Maps section (Hyperlinked with the Map Name). All Maps are viewed with Disabled Weapons.
    UPDATE #12: This weekend (3/30-4/1) will feature Double XP across all game modes. I have adjusted the XP Multipliers accordingly.
    UPDATE #11: I'm adding XP modifiers as they're found and confirmed. I'll move this down and add a new update if there are any Weapon changes.
    UPDATE #10: The Hammerburst and Retro Lancer have been returned to normal. It has been stated by Quinn that "that removal of Stopping Power on those two rifles was an experiment to gauge the validity of Stopping Power as a mechanic" (Source)
    UPDATE #9: The Hammerburst and Retro Lancer have been tweaked, along with the Scorcher. HB/Retro no longer have stopping power, and the Scorcher was buffed about 2 weeks ago (I forgot to update this thread with that info).
    UPDATE #8: This weekend will be 2x XP, with a 2x win bonus. I have updated the XP ratios accordingly.
    UPDATE #7: Trenches has been changed, and the Incens have been nerfed again. EDIT: Incens have NOT been nerfed. My misunderstanding.
    UPDATE #6: Incendiaries have been nerfed slightly. They now have a 96 unit (2x the original) insta-kill radius. (Source)

    Overpass still needs fixed. Mortar was too easy to avoid and if the other guy gets the HoD and camps up top on a ring, you're whole team is screwed until it drains. Need a Javelin missile for that map that breaks off into 3 heat seeking missiles.

    The only thing I don't like is the Boomshot on Overpass. The Mortar was the only thing to kill the people camping at the top.

    Honestly, if they want the Mortar, OneShot, and Mulcher to be used a lot, they need to be OP.

    But the hammer and mortar were really the only way to fight the people who had the high ground on overpass.... a boom shot and bow? i dunno about that...

    Not at all a fan of the changes with the digger/boomshot on sandbar....

    Sorry to complain so much guys! The game is still awesome, but i guess I'm just not so much into this change!

    I'll give in my 2 cents on Overpass. It has the same original problem as the Beta version of Trenches. It was built for either older gamemodes, Horde, or Beast in mind. The problem with this is that you have map completely focused on the middle of the map, I can tell you that weapon swaps won't change the overall flow of the map. Gears of War 3 is more focused around map control over power weapons. Simply locking down the weapon area you defeat the power of the weapon because you don't have to pick it up, it's been eliminated.

    Overpass has extreme high side advantage on both spawns and enough cover in the middle that a full team will lock people into their spawns before they can ever get close enough to a power weapon. Even with the use of smokes, strong teams with cross firing and other team fire will ensure that any power weapon will be limited to the ground level. Overpass doesn't need weapon swaps, Overpass needs to be overhauled. I would recommend creating a second top side entrance over an elevator or anything like that. Create 2 distinct pathways to get to the high side from the beginning of the match and then see how the map plays out. As of right now, the maps has more problems then solutions, and the design needs to be look at over the power weapon allocation.

    A Sniper would be better than a Boom on Overpass given how Boom can be pretty difficult to use when you're at a height disadvantage. But it's progress at least.

    Thrashball idea:

    Add an Ink Grenade spawn at the bottom of the stairs where you are heading up to the Concession Stands.

    Why the hell did they take out the hammer of dawn, now the only map that has the HoD is sandbar? i felt like it needed to be in more maps and now it's ended up in less.

    I agree with what other people have said, overpass needs to have a 2nd way up to the top level and then it will be a better map.

    Very keen to try out these maps when I get home from work. Somewhat disappointed that One Shot is gone from Sandbar as I enjoyed picking that up since nobody went for it. I normally got at least one kill, often two, before I discarded it.

    no one wants to play on sandbar and overpass because of the maps themselves, if epic can tweak maps through TU's I suggest they do so, cause if not, sandbar and overpass wont be played much...

    I'm fine with Overpass. I think they should've kept the hammer and replaced mortar with boom.

    Sandbar was fine. I loved it. Now I will hate Sandbar till they change it back.

    Since they took HoD off Overpass, I think it should swap with Mortar on Mercy. One Shot is just not good for that map.

    I like the changes they did to Overpass but I'm not really feeling the changes to Sandbar. Scorcher is one of the least powerful power weapons, it gives almost no incentive to push the top except the map control and the ability to mark and cross the other team. What can you do with a scorcher from up top? Boomshot seems like a pretty good idea down lown, cuz now there is actually a reason to push down low and control that part of the map but I honestly feel that maybe a digger up top both rounds would have been a better idea.
