    GRD-DeReZDe
Bright clean lines, low contrast lighting with beige toned, futuristic textures.

With such Hard Core design and so many access points there were few high stake chips accumulated. No tense battles or thrashing of said chips, only tight intense game play in its place. Lots of fun, a nice permutation on a theme.

    DM-DeReZe
The night edition gives this level some awesome contrast with nice splashes of colour. This level stands out, the first for a Tron inspired theme (to my knowledge). Such a clean looking level has been carefully constructed with hard core game play at it raging heart making this a real treat to play.

Its great to see new custom music making its way into levels. A big thx to zYnthetic for releasing his music under CCv3.

    DM-UOF2-NapaliKeep
Architecturally its very Gothic with enormous Z-axis. Details like the church steeple, UOF stain glass windows and broken bricks tell a lot of love has been given to this one. The Berserk spawn sequence is very intense - turning a classic Bl!tz lit level into blaze of reds with the ground rumble adding variety and ferocity to the game play. All powered buy an enormous living sun. Its so mesmerizing - I almost expect to see comets crashing into it.

The custom music has a haunting feel with some psychedelic 'war or the world' touches. This fits the theme of the map quite well imo.

The GRD version add a nice twist on game play too. Very Nice job!

    CTF-Fatima
An extremely detailed map of high quality which has become a hallmark of the author. Gothic in architecture, yet somber in lore, its seems his Fatima sure missed something unreal.

With so many custom materials its amazing how far the stock meshes have been pushed. Layout is a classic CTF with plenty of z-axis and balanced alternative paths. The crane tower makes a formidable defensive location perfect for the 'Bishop' in all of us.

The background scene is so rich and detailed its easy forget your playing a game.

This should be on servers everywhere!

    CTF-Legacy
A beautiful and contrasted level, CTF-Legacy begins in the depths of volcanic darkness but upon emerging the scene inverts to a equatorial paradise. I wonder where the map get it's name, perhaps an echo of out of depths of a volcano comes renewal and new life - then again I'm probably over reaching...

Nevertheless the custom materials are top notch. Most notable is rainbow, which is one of the best I've seen in a game. The stream and Lava flow shaders are also quite compelling too, exemplifying that the authors mastery of materials.

Game play is well balanced with the sniper roost tilted 90 degrees to the center path, adding a nice variation on CTF play. I'm also a fan of the juxtaposed flags which adds some nice anticipation.

    DM-UOF2-Amytis
From the low gravity specialist comes a surreal and detailed landscape. A place where your sky is the a city scape and where your ground is an abyssal mist. Most notable for it detailed architecture and beautiful atmosphere, the landscape is very precarious and not one for the uninitiated. I really liked the red tinge given to the clouds - nice touch.

I felt the DOM version was easier as it was less reliant on kills and seemed more strategic. This fit my skill level and offered a better alternative, game play wise. The evening theme was a nice twist. Oh and I forgot to mention the awesome custom music, cheers Ben.

    WAR-Orbital Drift
One of the few ground based assault maps with the exception that the raptor is prized to whoever can hold the center node. I enjoyed the setting on an asteroid with derelict walkways added character I liked a lot. Although a short WAR map the battles are intense - particularly as the prime node is on top of the power core. However the few direct paths to the core together with the added chaos of low gravity add enough balance to keep it competitive.

Great effort guys, many thanks for the countless hours put into these maps. It's clear all authors have extended themselves beyond previous releases - hats off.

    Hey dude,

I don't like to be the target of a man LOL

Yep, I'm still very active on UOF (I mean posting) but not on BU nor Epic. Only a few peoples as show interest on my maps, so I lost all interest of posting anymore stuff here weither it's alpha/beta/rc. To know what is going on about me / my stuff, visit my homepage BTW, the 'Varia' tag will show posts on my mapping status, you'll stay inform that way.

As for another UOF map pack, I only can say there are UOF projects but can't provide you more info, time will tell

Well, I'm happy to announce the upcoming release of Unreal Old Friends DM Map Pack

In the contrary of the previous Unreal Old Friends Map Packs, the UOF team pooled its efforts on the Death Match (DM) game type this time.

This third map pack is our Christmas gift to the community

A thread will be created here on Epic at the release date. Therefore, to stay tune, follow us at the official thread above

    Lightbulb DM-UOF2-OrbitalReconstruction

Wow, forgot about this one; looks rebuilt with awesome skybox with aurora, nebula and asteroids; even though the caves are a bit tight, I like them as well as the green crystals other colors and pseudo red barriers; jumps can be tricky but otherwise good gameplay with a little falling and good bots.

DOM-OrbitalReconstruction > CDOM is quick and fun with a mad scramble for the control points and DDOM is tougher and the bots are very good.
