    Default Importing a .PSA causes Unreal Editor to crash

    So, I'll start of by saying, Hi.

    This is my first post here, and I've lurked on this forum for a while. I've been using the Halo 1 Editing Kit over at Modacity to do all of my work and recently I've grown bored of it. I've started dabbing in the UT3 editing kit, but I've hit a problem that I really want fixed, that I can't find a way to fix (even after googling for hours)

    I thought, what better of an idea than to import some of my old stuff from Halo just to see what I can do and to get a feel?

    I watched a few tutorials, and I got to the part where we are animating the first person stuff. I animated it, exported it as a .psa file (triple checked to make sure my animations had correct lengths). I went into the editor, imported skeletal mesh, and such for the SMG. Then, I went to import the .psa, and when I clicked "open" on the K_WP_SMG_1p.psa, ut3 stopped for a minute, and crashed.

    No idea why this is happening, only verdict I have is that it is.

    I think it mainly has to do with how old and crappy my computer is, so here are my specs:

    AMD Athlon XP 2600+

    ATI Sapphire Radeon x1650 256mb

    Asus NForce 2 A7n8x

    1 gb DDR 266 ram (512x2)

    Did you use paint weight? (Skin the bone) Test the animation that the mesh frame should move with the animation.

    Double check your animation frame set. Key frame should not be empty. I see an error about the log raw animation error.

    Not entirely sure what that means. I used a skin modifier, selected vertices and used Abs Effect (which weights them) to the mesh that detaches (the magazine).

    What is an "empty frame"? A frame where the weapon doesn't have a keyframe on it? An animation chunk that has no movement? An animation chunk that has 0-0 or 0-1 on it? No bones? Gotta be a little more specific, I'm a nubcake to Unreal Engine.

    0-1 frame that will be fine. 0-0 frame mostly likely will crash.

    You have your game patched to the latest version right? Need to ask this before proceding further.

    I have successfully imported the .psa and .psk's for a few ut2004 monsters for the RBTTInvasion mod without incident. So there is something you must be doing wrong.
