    Voted increase the CMS Speed for the next Gears of War Game. Joe stated that it cant be done within Gears 2, so lets hope that Gears 3 has then a higher pace.

    all i hope it that they fix the rolling is faster than running thing, unless its true then im going to try out for the olympics and beat everyone thats not smart enough to roll

    The main tactical difference faster movement creates is that it's harder to shoot roadie runners, which makes rushing more effective. Which in turn makes shottie dancing once again the name of the game. Not my style.

    What would you say is the "name of the game" right now Vanir?

    I'm sure there would be says to combat rushers than just having a slow CMS...like an improved version of stopping power?

    Grenades are the name of the game now. But that has nothing to do with movement speed.

    EDIT: Actually, I take that back. Having to look around every corner and scan surfaces for tagged grenades affects how fast I move around the maps moreso than CMS.

    No thanks, I enjoy the fact that you can kill someone rushing you with a shotgun these days. Even though stopping power was implemented, it is too easy for players to wall bounce around the line of fire and all but negate its effect. If the CMS is increased it will simply become a rehashed GOW 1 with different weapons and different maps.

    No, I'm not cool with that at all. See my edit.

    My view of CMS is that it's fine as is. I don't see the need for anything faster. You can RR from one side of almost any map to other in 30 seconds.

    I don't think they meant 'it broke so many things' as in so many glitches came up, rather that balance was 'broken' by the increased speed.

    But would be nice for a private match option I'll give you that. I remember asking Epic to have a 'classic' option in custom games pre-release (having predicted the ****storm that would come after the changes had been realised) and fufu said 'It is something we are certainly considering'. What ever happened to that

    I didn't spend much time roadie running around during the campaign as I was hunting around for cog tags and whatnot much of the time.

    I think the current CMS works well for the Gears multiplayer maps, which are the smallest of any game I know of.

    I don't know honestly. I'm not a game creator. Surely there is a way, Gears 1 did it. I don't honestly remember anyone complaining, "OMG this game is way too fast...". I've said that about Unreal Turny, but never Gears.

    ??? It increased during moments of action A. lol...go and play the 1st level after the tank mission. The 1st part BEFORE you get on the boat has a great contrast between slow and fast.

    Yeah this bugs me a little. It wouldn't be the end of the world if they increased movement speed a small amount. I just don't think its a big deal. Like I said, tagged grenades have affected the pace of the game far more than movement speed changes.
