    Mutator (PC/PS3) UT3 Invasion [PS3][Pics][BETA Rev.335][Updated: 7-19-2009]

    Description: Defend yourself along side other players against hordes of invading monsters. A highly configurable Unreal Tournament 3 Invasion mutator made by RoseBum ThinkTank

    Our goal is to create an invasion mutator for UT3 which has the same feel as invasion for UT2004, but highly configurable. This is also why this is a mutator and not a gametype. Now you can apply this mutator to any team gametype you like and spice it up with some monsters

    • Select which monsters can spawn (and the probability)

    Small update to the Alpha Demo version:

    I made a mistake in the wave configuration that made it not spawn portals! But now it's fixed.

    So I fianally got my hands on Alpha 2 and soon as I the count down stops this giant blue-ish monster gu spawns and UT3 freezes... any idea wut my problem could be...

    I don't have the slightest clue lol

    You got any log you might want to post here? Also what match settings did you have? (gametype, mutators, etc.)

    And do you still have this problem?

    We just having some trouble getting everything to work online, but I've seemed to get pretty far with the latest revision

    Only the portals don't do their implosion effect online, and the radar doesn't use different colors for monsters.. but for the rest, it's all set to go.

    Beta release is coming up real soon

    I see you have it on already Cool, you still need to set up your own waves though, and especially look at the mutator config, because right now in wave 2 or 3 I don't know.. SpeedFreak turns on and .. well.. that's really hard hahaha

    Unfortunately I've seen that if you join mid-game the game has the standard TDM scoreboard, and your screen doesn't get blurry on low health... have to fix that in the next release.

    you can also add the jurassic rage monsters to your server if you wanna bring in some outside packages just make sure you don't let rex on a rampage he's abit over-powered

    yeah i added it but my redirect may not be working right. i added the other version to it and i cant replace the files with the new ones. maybe you could rename the files with BetaRev38 at the end. then as you update the mod just keep changing the number part. then i can add them to the redirect as the come out and will not have as problems.

    Or when you updated the version did you change all the files or just one. if you only changed one file the never mind.

    i will work on setting up waves tomorrow and tweaking the server also.

    you can also add the jurassic rage monsters to your server if you wanna bring in some outside packages just make sure you don't let rex on a rampage he's abit over-powered

    once the waves are set up i might just do that.

    just a idea maybe. have you thought about making it so you can change the waves from webadmin like you can with monster manager for ut2k4.

    Nope, that's not possible, if we change the package name we have to change alot in the code, and worst of all.. also in the custom scoreboard (which is a pain to do)

    I'm not sure which files I changed, so I just put them all in.. One thing I know for sure is that I changed the RBTTSlime.upk package and RBTTInvasion.u

    Don't.. yet, this version has 1 line of code in it that makes it impossible to actually have the waves you want it to, it'll scramble everything everytime you change it, I already fixed it on my computer. When I get home I'll send it to you.

    ok up and working. the only thing i have found is that sometime the radar dose not load. and i have crashed a couple times. but other then that works great

    Yup, I was in the other night. It was very fun, I had a good time. I think there needs to be more of a wave configuration though. Monsters are always the same. Hope to see some boss monsters and new monsters soon!

    Btw, a wave number somewhere on the hud or something would be nice

    due to the limitations placed on us on by the ps3 we can't import custom models into mutators that run on the standard maps.as far as i understand this page on the UDN. 1 workaround might be to create invasion maps and bake invasion into them, we're not ruling anything out just yet ....

    you never know you may see invasion on ps3!
