    Map Pack (PC/PS3) HOLP2 Released!

Name: HOLP2 (Hardcore Oldskool Low Poly)

    Version: 1.00

    Compatibility: Latest patch.

    Description:
    # 9 Levels in total, 4 CTF and 5 DM levels.
    # The focus is on great gameplay.
    # Hardcore oldskool (think UT1) levels with minimum clutter, maximum gameplay, and somewhat decent visuals.
    # Nearly all contributing level designers are professionally active within the games industry and all of them are European.
    # Involved were Barballs, h0ok, Sjosz, HazelH, Slainchild, XYZ8000, Mclogenog, EvilMrFrank and Ignotium.
    # Great performance.
    # Wide range of themes and colors.
    # No or limited bloom, depth of field, motion blur, normal maps, and so on.

    Comments:
Only torrent available until mirrors are up and running.
This pack IS NOT meant to look awesome, nor to rival the graphics found in the retail UT3 levels. These levels are meant to provide pure gameplay, not to look great. We hope that our levels will bump up the popularity of the classic gamemodes DM and CTF, and get some clan play going again.

    Much obliged.
We currently do not have a stand-alone download link yet, as the only person who has the complete file right now has a problem with connection continuity. I'm sure individual download links will become available as soon as possible.

It works well at keeping the riffraff out.

Seriously though, install a torrent client, then open the torrent file and wait. If that's what passes for "mumbo jumbo" these days on the internet I may turn into a crotchety old man before my time.

I'm flattered you consider me to be the whole internet. But putting that honor aside, I do not make it a habit of installing software for one-time purposes. A simple download link to an archive is not only quicker for me, but for torrenters as well.

What can I say. I love the graphic style and the colours. UT3 really needs more colourful maps like yours (also if they are highpoly).
It's a shame that this mappack only include DM and CTF Content. My favourite gametypes are WAR and VCTF and I wish there would be one or two covered. Is there a chance to have some maps of these gametypes in the future?

No PS3 version? Then its not viable. Also, when are you knobs gonna release the HOLP1 pack for the PS3? I have all the maps on my PS3, but there are hardly players using them. We need a official pack. ASAP. Hurry up.

    lol. What a knob.

Awesome work on these maps holp team! Thank you very much for hammering out such finely crafted maps for us all to defile and coat in blood, guts, oil and bile.

GAMEPLAY!!! UT's strongest asset finely sharpened to a razor's edge: HOLP2!

I guess I'm going to have to wait for individual releases or something 'cause I've tried to DL this 4 times from a couple of the different links and keep getting broken directories.

Looking forward to the PS3 test. Will that be in betas at first, or in this thread? I was always disappointed the 1st HOLP pack never got cooked for PS3. You can't go wrong with a map pack. Especially one made by a crew with such a good rep.

Another wonderful set of maps. Some very nice visuals on some of them, too - old-school or not, Razor in particular is one of the coolest looking maps I've seen. Big fan of Bonescraper too.

I'd like to second Cosmix's request for some HOLP Warfare or VCTF maps, though. Warfare especially would be interesting with a focus on pure gameplay and no excess detail dragging the frame rate down.

What about something like a WAR map, but it's hoverboards only? Would not be long-range.
