    SERVICE My PS3-Cooks so far [Updated 01/20/2008]

    UPDATE 4:

    Here is a mirror for all PS3 cooks so far.
    It links to a thread by ID_Raenrek who took the trouble of listing (almost) every PS3 mod that there is out today (with download links).

    UPDATE 3:

    Almost everything is now on: http://psnathome.com/ under the download section. Only a few things that are a little bigger like maps are still on rapidshare.com because I don't want to upload them again.
    New things that I cook in the future will be uploaded on psnathome.com as well. Only big files will be placed on rapidshare.com.
    Therefore you can now download several things at once, no waiting anymore (except for the files on rapidshare.com of course).

    Thx to MrTeenie for letting me upload the stuff on his site/ftp server.

    Hello guys,

    I need to clarify some things because many people ask me to cook this and cook that:

    I cannot cook things with custom sound, because that isn't possible for ps3 at the moment.

    Importing sounds is not supported. This is because UT3 uses a proprietary version of ATRAC3 and we are unable to release the tool that is needed to convert .wav files to the format required by the game.

    * It is unknown if we will be able to have some system for sound conversion in the future.
    * We understand the limitation this places on mod developers, and will rectify this if at all possible in a future version.
    Another issue is that I cannot cook maps that were cooked for pc. To cook a map for ps3 u need the unpublished source map file u got from unrealed after making the map.

    Another thing is that Slaughterhouse spawns so many enemies later on that your framerate will drop tremendously and your PS3 can freeze. Keep that in mind while playing.

    can you use something that's not rapidshare for download please? I don' have rapidshare account so i can only download one file at a time and after one download, I have to wait 4 hours to download next file

    Don't do Timberland, that creator specifically requested that no one do so, I'd respect his wishes. We (PS3 users) are trying to work in harmony with the mods, why create unnecessary rifts?

    and btw: the creator of timberland doesn't want to have a ps3 version of timberland for legal reasons. So no ps3 version.

    The character skin imported and unpacked for me, but it wasn't selectable in my character creation menu. How do you actually use the skins?

    Thanks for cooking all of this. The MK3rdPerson mod is pretty cool, is it a final version or still in testing? Haven't seen it anywhere on the epic forums

    unfortunally not, because I get treated by some people like I stole their work by cooking this for ps3 without asking for permission first.

    I found that on filefront and I think it's final. It's a mod by Jeremy J Collins and in version 1.2 and it's under gnu gpl.

    I do not know if I can cook this. But I'll look into it.

    But what I do know is that it uses a mutator configuration. That will not show up on PS3.
    Like it doesn't show up on the other mutators.

    EDIT: I will need to split the mutator up into 6 seperate mutators as the all-in-one strategy doesn't seem to work for ps3.

    Good to see that you obviously have a firm handle on the PS3 cooking technique, Darkwarrior. Hopefully you can help out some of the modders who have been having trouble getting their mods cooked. The leviathan map and mk3rdperson are pretty sweet mods, thanks for making them accessible.

    This is quite good for me, I don't have much of an interest in the other mutators but i'd love the Dual Enforcers one, it'd be great if you could cook it

    Alright thats fine...I really only care about the dual enforcers, infinite ammo, anti-masochism out of the mutators. If you can convert these that would be amazing!

    About the timberland map, hopefully the author will ask for permission. I don't see why they would complain if it's already a mod for the PC anyways.

    Also, are these mods all tested?

    This is great. If possible please do as many models/ skins as possible.

    I tried a good majority of them. Those elimination maps seem just like deathmatch games though. It doesn't say anything special on them, at least not for me they don't.

    All others work great. That MK3D mod's aim is off, but it doesn't make the characters disappear like the one made by fall. It's up to you which one you'd pick.

    Also the characters are awesome man. Props to the person who made the actual character models. Too bad the PS3 doesn't support the helmet part, eh TC? Real shame.

    Anyone know why the PS3 isn't allowing a helmet switch? It seems kind of odd that the other parts can be changed but not a helmet/new face.

    Infini-Jump doesn't work right, it jumps at 5 times max and not configable.

    Anti-Masochism works perfectly fine.

    Dual Enforcers works fine, config doesn't work and it looks odd when you respawn (3 arms).

    Unlimited Ammo works perfectly fine.

    Fast Switch Weapn works perfectly fine.

    Friendly Fire 'For Real' - I can't tell if it's working or not, I can't tell how much "reduced" damage is it, not configable.
