EPIC PATCH RUINED 1280x1024 Through VGA!!!

FIX IT NOW. I can't even stand to look at the SD ruined quality of the game now that the patch is in place...MAKE an option to turn it back to the way it was. Because it looks ****TY!

It did mess it up! Technically 1280x1024 is not suppost to letterbox, and that was messed up as is. but now that its fullscreen the image looks like **** and def is suppost to look better. So they really need to fix it the right way and make it fullscreen and the right resolution, it looks like its downscaling to the lowest resolution. because thats what i used to use. Even 1024x768 is messed up. So please epic dont put it back to letterbox but fix the resolution how its suppost to be!!!

i have same problem - the picture quality doesnt look nowhere near as good as before. please fix.

Now give me back my letterbox, i don't care if its not suppose to be like that for 4:3 letterbox gives you wide view without the widescreen, and high def res. I'm not playing gears in this 800x600 pos res.

its sad to see major companys like EPIC not make it conform to all MAJOR computer Resoluions that would work just fine in game too...

i mean Come on Not all of us can afford super expensive HD TVs so we just make do with Computer monitors which are in fact better resolution wise...i just don't get it. Overpayed and they do crappy jobs most of time.

why make me go out and buy another monitor when this one i have Works GREAT and it cost a bundle...

Is this problem affecting only computer monitor users or every one? I'm guessing just those with computer monitors, just making sure. I have a 50" HD DLP and I'm assuming this won't affect me.

no this won't affect you at all...only people with computer monitors have problems...

Now, not trying to be a dick, but I would guess that the vast majority of GoW customers are not using computer monitors. Therefor, if I was epic, considering this problem is likely only affecting a few customers, I would not be burning the midnight oil trying to fix this. It's just economics. They cannot spend alot of man hours trying to fix a problem very few are experiencing.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I would not be holding my breath waiting for them to release a patch to fix this. Maybe you can use it as an excuse to go get a new TV.

all they need to do is unpatch this ****ty patch...no man hours needed.

only a few? all my friends that have a 360 are mad at epic cause this fuc*ing update. They play in their computer screen

At 1360x768 (Highest resolution my monitor can support from the selection), it works just fine and IMO looks better than the 51" HDTV that is in the other end of my house.

You should consider either the ViewSonic VG2030WM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824116062) or Samsung 204BW (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16824001087). I'm using the older model of a ViewSonic VX2035WM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16824116066), which is the well-reviewed ViewSonic VX2025WM. From a technical analysis, the VXs are better than the VGs.
