Alright! I wonder if these new maps will be some kinda new additional co-op episodes or just normal mp maps. I mean it woulds like co-op (fight alongside delta squad). Would be cool if it was 4 player. Then again i'll take what I can get

I'm so glad I am getting my 360 back tomorrow. I just bought the HD-DVD drive along with:

Batman Begins
The Last Samurai
Superman: The Movie
Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
Superman Returns
King Kong(came with the drive)

I can't wait to watch all those and then play tons of Gears on the new maps

I'm pretty sure that they are multiplayer maps, since I remember Epic saying that they wouldn't release any more SP content for Gears of War.

So is it a new gametype or a new map? The description sounds like a new game type, with COG players working together to kill NPC locusts, perhaps you get a score based off of your performance? Regardless, it should be a blast.

Our presskit did not contain any information on an embargo, and so as we were concerned no embargo existed. It is unfortunate when things such as this happen, and it is in MyGEN's interest to abide by all embargoes set by the publishers in question. No embargo has ever and will never be broken by MyGEN on purpose.

Hey, thanks for clearing that up, I've seen it on various other Australian websites too, trancevib is right. The Australian presskit from microsoft didnt include any information on an embargo. Luke Plunkett (australian blogger who works for Kotaku) must of got the press release with no embargo too as he also put this news up.

Microsoft already confirmed it's true. It comes out the 11th for Australlia and 10th for America. Maps will be free, but still no word on the patch. Let's hope it's released along-side it.
