GoW Wallpaper Thread

We seem to have an overabundance of new wallpaper threads lately. I distinctly remember Flak stating that we do not need to have 50 wallpaper threads. She has closed a few and indicated which ones we should use. But, with the steady flow of new members, Flak's requests got lost in the shuffle somewhere along the way.

So, my idea is to keep all wallpapers in this thread. This isn't for me, but for the GoW community. This way, we can all showcase our community made imagery and it doesn't clog the system. I invite everyone to please post your wallpapers here in this thread in lieu of starting a new one. This cuts down on the database size and forums management. I will modify this original post to add content as that content is posted by each member. I am not responsible for the quality of the wallpapers; I'm just helping to keep track of them.

I started by going through the first few pages in this forum and adding the user made wallpapers I found to this post. Any wallpapers missed or overlooked can be added upon request.

I updated my first post, but there have been a lot of new wallpapers show up since I started this thread. As I stated in that original post, I started this thread so we wouldn't have 10 gazillion wallpaper threads. I guess this idea and thread got lost in the mix. Oh well.

Here is my latest GoW wallpaper. It is themed similar to a recent UT2007 wallpaper of mine you might have seen in that forum.

I don't want to be a pest, but, does anyone like this wallpaper, at all? Since I have yet to receive any comments, I figure it must not be all that good. I am open to suggestions, in case it needs improvement. I'll leave it up for another day; there's no need waste space on my server for a "blah" wallpaper, lol.

I like the steel and the holes, but not the look of the logo. Also, we've seen tons of walls with the logo, so I'm kinda tired of just it. Not sure where else I'd take it from here, but it needs more zest somewhere and somehow.

Okay, fair enough. But one question, what is wrong with the logo? Will you please expand on that a little, just so I have some reference? The logo is intended to be a bit simplistic and yet atmospheric, as if to go with the background, but with a bit of abstraction. Should I further darken and decay the logo?

Here is the original wallpaper that uses my custom background. And yes, the entire image is completely custom...

i've been looking through these wallpapers, and i think they're all great, so i saved them all to my hard drive, so i can use them later if i want, and decided to zip them up into a pack so anyone else who wants to download them all can just download this pack and unzip it, there's about 63 wallpapers in here, and i for the most part didnt take all the sizes of each wallpaper though.
