    Default impressions on the updated gears of war

    the game looks much better, the chainsaw blood effect is awesome, i read that the bolo grenades are more fluid, this game is turning out sweet, cant wait for tomorrow..

    i think cliffy could have shown a lil more gameplay footage as far as moves go, like mantling, roadie running, etc.

    I dunno, just seemed like he stayed right there in the middle.

    I also think he had it on the easiest mode because it didn't seem too challenging.

    anyway. i want to see multiplayer, enough with single player.

    yeah, and it seems the enemies are a LOT easier to take down. hopefully this was either easy or SUPER easy mode. i'll definatly be playing the game on normal or HARD difficulties only...

    No, theyre just easier to take down when unloading on the legs...

    Cliff was playing on the "casual" mode designed for casual gamers (i.e. easy). Always best to do that (or GOD mode) for a demo. Regardless it won't be that easy for a first-time player to take down the Locusts. I saw one of the world's top game designers play a portion of a level, that Cliff can get through in 2 minutes, and it took him about 15 minutes. Cliff makes it look easy

    Cliffy was aiming for the legs a lot of the time! hehe!
    Very smooth! Though, the part they showed off was a bit short and stayed the same. Still looked great! SMOOTH!

    There is going to be A LOT of hands on footage of both SP and MP at X06! I mean, you can play both on the showfloor

    it seemed 2 me that there is a bit of a "jump" or glitch when the locusts jump over the walls. other than that it looked badass. Framerate is solid. Question though... Was the sound on the video bad, or is there no noise when u bash up against a wall? i thought there was alot at E3...

    The framerate appears solid as a rock now, way better than E3. And I'm glad the Locusts aren't taking 2 clips to kill like at E3. They seemed a bit too tough before. It's looking awesome.

    Yes I just noticed the no sound thing as well, although I think it was the sound in the video, I can't imagine them taking out that sound.

    2 true bro 2 clips is way to much, i,m much happy with the game now i hate games that u have fire clip atfer clip

    the locusts ragdoll is way better 2 so well done just think you guys will be playing the game soon here in new zealand we dont get the game till the 27 of nov not very happy about it but what can you do .

    Ah, thats comforting. it wasn't really bothering me the more i thought about it, but it did seem like they died quicker than the prison level from e3. i've watched the Embry Square video like 23 times now, and the more i watch it, the less it bothers me. the Drones still don't look like push-overs by any means.

    I'm still hoping it will be great, but I have this nagging voice in my head saying "Brute Force"...."Brute Force"....

    Besides, my biggest gripes are the map sizes, screen tearing, Marcus' big freaking head in the way, and the fact that it's not a 1st person shooter...

    I will still buy it, and play it, and hope it turns out to be a game I will be involved with for months after release...

    Also, there arent many other games coming out on the 360, so I have to buy it.

    If I had to find one drawback for this game I'd have to go with the length of the SP campaign. While 10 hours is fine, longer is always better. All the MP details so far have me salivating and I cant wait to see the maps. I really wanna start the game off on a harder difficulty to help it last a bit longer and also because I'll be playing it with my brother and it'll be fun to see who's better.

    Well as a casual gamer who is really turned off by how difficult a lot of the current next-gen FPS/Action games are becoming (Prey is the great exception as you don't get terribly punished for not being that great of a shot) I hope there is more than just "normal" and "hard" mode and then a "super Bad ass" mode unlockable. Please don't forget that there are a lot of us who don't have time to become that proficient on the console and want to have fun without constantly being punished for not being l33t. It seems it's already hard enough with all the having to find and take cover and constantly keep moving. I just hope it's a game that I can get through and won't be too much harder than Unreal II. Or at least have a "novice" and "experienced/casual" mode available.

    Well I also think those complaints are warranted. Epic is king of bot play and it would have been great to add a CTF and DM component to this game. I know UT2K7 is mainly what that is for and but since that will have a SP campaign of some kind to it then GoW could have added those two gametypes in for THOSE of US who DON'T play online. Just like it would have been cool to have bots in Unreal II and DM and CTF as gametypes. Also 10 hours does seem a bit short for something that is supposed to be epic and focus mainly on the campaign, co-op or not. Twelve to Fourteen would have been nice, although as mediocre as I am it will probably take me around 12-14 hours to finish it, at least that's what I am hoping. I mean any less for $60 and it seems a bit light imo. That said I am still pretty sure this will be a good game but only time will tell.

    This game definitely doesn't have tearing. and if you are angry this isn't an fps... Well I really don't know what to say to that lol.

    if there was deathmatch it would be really really bad. people would be all around you and if you ever took cover you would be shot from behind and if you didnt youd still be shot. you would die every few seconds. also alot of the game like flanking would be bassically gone.
