Big Grin Feature Request - option to disable (mute) player voices

I love UT, it's the only game I keep coming back to again and again since the first one.

One feature I really miss though is the ability to disable or mute those players who insist on holding down the talk button and singing, cursing, babbling, etc. without turning off all sounds. If per player is to much work having the option to mute all players would be better than nothing.

Thanks for all your hard work!

Great!, now they have delayed the game another month thanks to this request.

Joking , Im sure they'd have it on the game already.. if not just turn down speakers or something.

    In UT2k4:

    1. Hit escape
    2. Right Click on the PLayer that plays SnoopDoggyDog over VoIP.
    3. Select to mute him. (You can even disable text)

It is in UT2k4... ...and I think it will be in UT2k7.

I'd really like to see this in place as an admin feature too.

We have a custom "mute" for text chat for players who can't stop flaming others - but UT2004 VOIP is um....well....not that robustly written....not....um.....there's no easy way to write a serverside addin which will mute VOIP for a player.

Yes, please. I sincerely hope that native in-game admin capabilities are greatly enhanced from UT2004.

It never worked in UT2004 (for me anyway).

Sometimes it doesn't work when you are in Spec mode (AFAIK). And with demoplayer you mute all of them or none (same GUID for all).

Why not mute all players and then add a 'friends'-list that is unmuted by default ?
