Emergence Day announced!

Gears of War is finished or very close to finished. The only reason it isn't hitting until November is because Microsoft needs there big gun to counter the release of the PS3. I knew this would happen. November.......bleh.

I doubt its very close to being finished. They're probably well on the way to being done in time for the release, but remember -- it wasn't too long ago that they just got the renderer working on more than one core.

I'm pretty sure the PS3 launch is in fact in November, otherwise them announcing another delay would be pretty big news me thinks.

Yeah I could give a crap anyway's, I hate Sony so I didn't mrf. But the PS3 comes out in November.

Yeah last I heard in PLAY magazine they were finishing up on the multiplayer, but single player was finished. This was last month's issue.

Mark has posted elsewhere that the game has not gone gold. Or at least I think I read that somewhere form him. Therefore it's not finished.

That's OK I'm looking forward to those games too! OXM has a Saints Row demo this month. I picked it up yesterday but have not had time to try it yet.

Someone on IRC asked me this morning what they should do during the wait for Gears - I told them they should convince all their friends to go out and buy 360s and get XBL so they could chainsaw and curb stomp them online when Gears comes out!

I can't wait to play Gears. I just wish it would be sooner. I sure hope the multiplayer is amazing and doesn't give me the lag that Prey did. Thanks for taking the time and responding to us. We appreciate knowing that the developers care what we think.

As I said in a previous post a page or two ago, it's YOUR GAME that's going to convince people. Everyone and their grandmother has told me on here to get one, and I'm still 360 free.

Again, doesn't mean they're close to release right now. There's always play testing for bugs, fixing bugs, polishing things up for release, ect ect ect.

The chainsaw gun will be the most amazing weapon ever put in a game. It will be multiplayer mayhem.

trivia or other epic game that challenges the die hard gamers!

Nope it hasn't been delayed. I will not buy it until Blu-Ray is a successful format. I don't think it will succeed, but if it does, that is when I will invest. For the time being Wii60 for me!

I don't see any way we could do a demo before the game comes out. We've said that before. Demos take a long time to create and polish and we can't afford to get derailled like that if we want to have the game in stores by Thanksgiving. Given a choice of the game this year or a demo this year and the game next year I'm sure every one of you would rather have the game this year because you're already planning to buy it. No idea if we'll do a demo or not after the game ships. I know we have some very cool plans (not 100% solid so too early to give any specifics) for additional downloadable so that might take a higher priority than creating a demo.

NO! That's complete nonsense. If it were going to be finished sooner we'd be releasing it sooner and we would have told you about Emergence Day a long time ago.

So this is the official announcement everyone. There will be NO demo. But atleast I know one thing I will be poor from buying all of the extra content on LIVE.
