    Question Finally CTF-CoretClassic is released 1/05/04

    After nearly 1 1/2 years on and off working on this map its now been released and ready for upload

    I suppose GOGETA_NL is pleased with level preview enclosure.
    Excellent map. Even though it not authors original creation, hard work is obvious everywhere you look. Visuals are outstanding (no resemblance with original map here); nice curved corridors and such... Everything you could possibly want from old Coret is here...

    The map is not too bad either lol! j/k I love this map! Brings back some memories from the countless of hours that I spent in UT:CTF-Coret

    This map together with EternalCaves-Classic from Fordy are definitely the best custom maps I have seen yet

    it's a sweet map, and a nice version.


    But for the love of god, that is not the classic coret that was from UT99, so you cannot call it that =\
    you have changed the amp area adding lifts instead of just the stairs, you have added the platforms around the top, that where not part of the original =\

    FaceClassic, is just that, a classic remake.
    Yours is Coret2004 not CoretClassic

    That's bullsh**! Deck 17 has a new room with a new curved corridor, and a new jumppad. So they're not identical,either - even in your aspect.

    CTF-Coret Classic has earned it's name VERY WELL!!!
    Wonderfull job! Those tiny weapon bases look a bit silly, though. And could anybody give me a clue what that green forcefield in the middle hides? And how to get it?

    (I'd have preferred yellow... And I find the green fog in the RL room a bit dense. (Yeah I know, too late...)

    Well it is deck17 not deck16. But anyway it's close enough and the additional stuff really just makes it better. the only thing I saw is when you use the default bot number, the teams end up 5v4

    yay its done! Good job sticking at it and getting it done, thats a hell of a long time to slave over 1 map, Im sure it'll be worth it.

    RedDwarf! What did you do to this map!? I demand to know!




    You reduced the long load times! They are now bearable!

    With my normal/low "online settings" It loads up in an instant, with settings cranked, it loads up pretty good.


    The map is greatness, except for a*very few times* I ran into a static mesh once in a great while... But I was trying to catch myself on one, when I just ran thru, I had no hinges!

    Oh happy days, once the community makes a LE or CE version, even allthe pros will be happy.

    I've posted the news on BU.

    Personally, I want to say thanks, Red Dwarf, for making this. Coret is my all-time favourite UTCTF map, and this is the first new-school version that does justice to the original. It may have a jump pad to the amp, and a somewhat different mid-section, but after a while, focus shifts from these differences to that awesome, flowing Coret gameplay.

    Now lets hope lots of server admins pick up this one and put it in their rotations.

    In fact, map puts serious strain on your hardware. Some players will hate this map for its details. Until they lower their video settings, naturally.
