Default Can I read already made codes?

I'm new to programing and I don't know how to do much. I was wondering if there was a way that I could look in the .u files or uncompress them so I can read the .uc or if any of you now any codes which are free to read on the net, could you tell me.

    Thanks

you can export the code of most compiled .u files
either use UnrealEd or the Export commandlet :
    http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/wiki/BatchExportCommandlet
    Michiel 'El Muerte' Hendriks
Magicball Network - Little Big Adventure community
the Unreal Admin page - Unreal server administration
UnrealWiki - UnrealScript and UnrealEd wiki.
UnCodeX - powerful UnrealScript tool for programmers

As for "codes which are free to read on the net," first and foremost there's Epic's own UnrealScript code that's part of UT2003 and can be downloaded from Unreal Wiki: UnrealScript Source.
