    I think its easier if ur pawn and camera doesent move and the platform moves or rotate only :) But this just my idea how i would make similar effect :)

    I guess Movable lights are working well because of they are dynamic and lightmap needed for static (pre-rendered) lights. But maybe I'm wrong.
