Well if you want to go wireless I am afraid that is the only way.
There are detailed instructions on the support site, if you are having connection problems.
Hope this helps man. Gears 2 is almost here!!
lolz yea that was what i was rying t get around by connecting my router and xbox but it wasnt working so it seems like i might end up buying it
Do you have this?
You cannot do wireless networking/internet without it. If you do have it, then you don't need cables between your Xbox and router.
If you do not have it then you need to have a cable linking your Xbox and Router.
TTYL Have to get Ready for work.
If you want to stay hardwired, Ethernet cable into the router is all you need. See my router is wireless, and it also has four ethernet ports. My two PC's are still hardwired into the router, while my X360, and my Wii are wireless. Kinda like having two routers in one. I have a Linksys WRT54G2
If you get the wireless adapter for the X360, all you have to do is hook it to the back of the X360, and plug it into the USB port beside the Ethernet port. From the Xbox Dashboard go to system and setup your network options. you will have to enter the WPA key to access your wireless network. This number can usually be found in the routers interface under Wireless Security settings.
I hope I have not confused you too much man.
