I recently tried the Sobel Edge detection on Sept 2011 version of UDK. The effect seams like it's working fine for objects up close but not for thing in the distant ( I e. Distant object are black). Is there a way to set this to render distant objects?

This method relies on the depth buffer. Unfortunately, as the depth becomes less precise over larger distance the effect will no longer work as intended. This is why there is a MaxDistance field to reduce these problems. There are probably other methods you can employ to reduce these problems or make it work but unfortunately I don't know of any.

OK. Thanks for the info.

I have to admit I'm a big fan of the game "Boarderlands" so I just had to give that rendering method a try!
