I am wondering if anyone experiences heating up of the iPhone/iPod Touch when playing the game for about 15 minutes or longer? Most of the time, I felt that the back of my 3GS (on 4.2.1 firmware) became very hot after 15 minutes of playing or longer.

Yeah its because the game use about 90% of the 2GS ram and cpu (or so i think). It's just like a computer, the more demanding the game is, the more heat the device produce. If you have a caising i recomand removing it when you play for long as it keep the heat a little more.

Also, the game is verry battery consuming, i can play only about 1h and i run out.. Guess its worth it tho

I'm shocked the 3gs can handle it..

1st not everyone can afford changing to iPhone 4
2nd no one is complaining, just trying to clarify if it is normal

About that, i dont think i know anyone who can aford one... With contract yes but full price, no. To change from 3gs to i4 you need to pay full price too... Thats a shame...

The game doesn't really get hot for me (iPhone 4) compared to some other games like Eternal Legacy, for example. Perhaps you are gripping the phone too tightly?

Also... I think it goes without saying that you should take off the phone's case (if you have one) when playing. And don't charge your phone while playing, charging itself can heat up the phone.

At first, I did think charging/gripping too tightly might be the cause. I then held the 3GS firmly using the Joby tripod to the table, and played only with one finger (practicing parrying and no dodging). The result was still the same. Anyway, with all the calculations and rendering required for the impressive graphics, I am not complaining about the heat but just alarmed.

My 3GS roasts after playing the game for a while, which makes sense since it is using a boatload of memory (about 100mb out of 150mb)

to clarify some things up sometimes my iphone 4 and the girlfriends 3GS starts lagging (from less to more) and then... the idevices starts burning like hell and burning batterylife like hell.

in the end i think its like on a PC memory is full, the whole system trys and fail to recover the fps.

Are your phones jailbroken or something? The game never lags for me and barely makes any kind of heat (again, comparing to other games).

Nope. I am no fan of JB and my firmware is 4.2.1. The game does lag but rarely.

its normal even the iphone 4 heats up a lot after hours of play, or hooked up to the charger
