Gears is a team game, more so than others, because there is no option to play alone. But the current EXP system and achievements are based upon what we do individually. I think Leveling Up and Seriously 3.0 should be based on "TEAM KILLS" not individual kills:

EXP System
-At the end of the match, EXP for each person is based upon the total kills for the team.
-A bonus could be added to the person with the most kills.
-This rewards those who try to protect the leader in guardian, lay down cover fire for other to pick up a power weapon, etc.

Seriously 3.0
Be a Part of 500,000 Team Kills (online multiplayer only)
-The total kills for your team get added towards your achievement at the end of the match.

There would be no more whining about Kill Stealing since we will be rewarded by what our team does. There could also be a stat for Team Kill/Death Ratio along side the normal K/DR to show how well your team plays together.

What do you think?

I'd much rather have a Gears 1 style seriously achievement. Make it difficult, and not so you can just go into campaign and play over and over again and get the cheevo without ever playing multiplayer.

This good and all, but would only inflate the stats of people who have played with the same team since gears1. If you played by yourself with randoms, chances are you will get brutally smashed against a team of friends. if they split the playlist into one for "parties" and one for "solo people" then MYABE it would work out better..

I didn't come up with this but: "its kill SHARING, not kill stealing."
This is a good idea Karl and would dampen down the complaints people have when someone finishes a downed opponent for them.

A team kill mode would be kind cool i guess, maybe with some sort of respawn type deal.

Sounds good, 500k is pretty steep though... Unless it counts horde too but still lol.

I wonder if gears 3 is actually 5 on 5... who knows maybe it's 8vs8..

But then if you're not even playing and stood at spawn, you still get points for the achievement.

I still say 10,000 headshots, but that might be too difficult for the less skilled players who want every achievment.

I could care less about a rank system. But if they do, it should be attainable in this lifetime, and not to just those that play GOW for everyday. A game should be enjoyed and achievements attainable. Rank 100 should've been at what the score is set for rank 50 or maybe 70, but not so high. I could care less and actually thought it was better w/ the truskill rank showing, just punish anyone's truskill rank showing to lvl 1 after they quite a match or lose connection, but that's just what you show. I would then promote their truskill ranking behind the scenes by 25 points and let them get slaughtered for the next few games till it settles back to where it should be.

I like the team kill achievement idea, but not the recording of those stats.

Seriously, that number will be purely based on if you play with a stacked team or not.

8vs8? I don't know, that would make the need for way bigger maps, if not then gameplay would change significantly, you would see a lot less closecombat. But sorry, off topic here. Kill Sharing? "No, I defeated him; he's mine to kill" Or occasionally she, since theres a girl in the trailer. I wanna play as her :o

People don't complain about kill stealing because it goes to their Seriously 2.0 achievement, LOL.

They complain because, 1) It's a ***** move to do. 2) Most of them care about their KD.

You see, I'm the opposite- I don't care about my K/DR. I'm trying to get Seriously 2.0 (but I'm an achievement whore who refuses to ride to brumak :D)

I do agree kill stealing is a b---- move. That's why kills should be viewed as a team effort instead of an individual effort (in my opinion).

I don't like that idea at all. Someone bad at the game shouldn't get as much credit as someone who caries the team.

There should be a team bonus for winning a match.

And individual bonuses for leading in Assists and Revives.

Kinda makes me wonder about Seriously 3.0.

Theres no way they would go above 100,000 kills. Or atleast I hope not.

I liked Seriously... better than 2, since it's actually an achievement to kill 10,000 players. Grinding 100,000 on a Brumak requires no skill.

I'd like to see it be 25,000 MP kills or 10,000 MP executions ... something like that.
