same here... it has to be some sort of vista-64 specific issue - who knows hopefully someone comes up with a fix or workaround in the very near future.

I'm having this same issue, except mine stops just after loading the Shock Rifle package at "Loading...."

The log file ends in
"Log: FactoryCreateBinary: Texture2D wi"

It just cuts off like that... I'm going to keep trying things, I'll update if I find anything.

I tried a restart, that seems to have fixed it for now. I also ran the UR3Redist.exe file and the dotnetfx35setup.exe to see if they would repair anything before restarting, and they had no effect before I restarted.

The editor has a history of compatibility problems with graphics tablets. Please see this thread (http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=705842) for more info and suggested workarounds.

Ugh. I'm running out of ideas here.

Interesting little tidbit that might be related: I wanted to post a dxdiag listing in case it might help, but dxdiag hangs on me too - while collecting data on DirectInput of all things.

Here's a dxdiag obtained by bypassing the DirectInput test.

I was having the same/similar problem.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Asus P6T Deluxe V.2
Intel Core I7 2.9 GHz
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Twin Geforce GTS250 1GB VRAM running in SLI mode

Switched off SLI mode and all is well.

Hope that helps someone. :)

Cheers!
