I tried to post this on another UT forum, but my account is not acitve (yet...)
Anyway, Someone was loking for a Shadow the hedgehog model for UT 2003/2004, and i'm also not long after seeing this (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=473173&perpage=30&highlight=shadow+the+hedgehog&pagenumber=1). I'm NOT sure how far Triple_X has gotten with this project, but I have shadow for UT2003/2004 already!

For the team skin, change the red stripes to blue for the blue team, and leave alone for the red team.

does this crash UT2004 for anyone else?

the first time i used this it crashed my UT2004, and has crashed about 10 times since i downloaded it last night

my UT2004 hasnt crashed before for months

however i dont care about it crashing, i love the model :up:

it's never crashed on me yet....did you try lowering your UT settings? It may help...

A model doesn't interfere with the way UT runs. Clear out your cache.

Well I have cleared my cache, and it didn't help at all.

Also as for lowering my settings, I can try it to see if I get the errors still, but it wont be a permanent downgrade ;)

Here is the error I got recently, this error happened twice in the same game, and seems to be the most regular of the errors, although I'm fairly sure there has been others.

but dude when i click on link it automatcilly comes on notepad it and when i right click on it doesn say open with.

This is a full-blown additional character, playable, etc. From the looks of the error, it's missing a mesh or something related to a mesh. Open up your UT2004 error log and post anything related to the character.

As for the notepad thingy, try re-installing WinRAR. Or use 7-ZIP (download.com has it)

Yeah I've had that error message a couple of times, but not often

As for the error log, where can I find it?

it LOOKS good but when I try to download it... well, it says it's a rar file and it opens with quick time, and it doesn't work...

UKX go in animations. UPL/U files go in system. UTX go in textures. I think that is all. It's not to hard to figure out.:downcast:

Get winRAR to extract it. A .RAR is like a .ZIP, but with way better compression.

This model was made by somebody called MistaEd, and was for UT2k3 and never properly converted to UT2k4. thus it causes some errors and he hasn't finished the model.

Its a port of the Sonic Heroes Shadow model, but with SA2 textures.

Figured the original creator of it should probably be credited at some stage :/

If you do decide to make an updated version with team colors, could you please make all 4 team colors? Also, some custom sonic animations would be sweet for D-jumping... Oh, and is shadow a girl? cuz i have voice on defatlt and it is a female mercs voice.

Interesting how this has spread around as I only gave it to a small group :P

It crashes so much because the Milkshape 3D export plugin is complete bollucks. I can re-export it via 3d studio max now as I know how to use it, just I couldn't be bothered :P plus I have misplaced the model with the male UT skeleton assigned to it.

Thanks Luckett for telling everyone where they should give the credit to :) At what stage, infiniti, were you going to say you didn't port this to UT2k3/4 and that you're taking credit for something you found and not created?

Although I must stress that I didn't model this, as this model is modified from the original Sonic Heroes model with the Sonic Adventure 2 Dreamcast skin applied to it which I UV mapped. The mesh has only been modified for the legs/feet to fit the default male skeleton in UT2k3/4.

I like the model, but that crash distracts me from using it.

So after all discussions about that crash, will anybody apply fixes for this model and make it available for download?
