View Full Version : Solve some bandwidth problems

I'm not the one providing the service, btw :)

I see alot of people having bandwidth problems. I would like to draw your attention to freecache.org (http://freecache.org/). All you have to do to make use of their service is prepend your download url with http://freecache.org/, eg http://freecache.org/http://www.mysite.com/bigfile.zip.

There are no catches as far as I am aware, although they will only mirror out files that are 5MB or more (up to 1GB). At the moment, though, it is a trial and as such there are no set rules.

We will have to further define the policies around the use of FreeCache. In the meantime, we reserve the right to exclude files or sites of files and exclude requestors for any reason.

In the meantime however I'm using it with great success on some of my files (and so are they, they appear to be using it for their entire video and audio collection!).
