would anybody be a little mad or really mad if gears of war did'nt have multiplayer online by playing with three of your friends against 4 other people online? i know i would be really mad because i really want a game that has 4 player split screen online so i can play with my friends. post your thoughts please.

Split-screen or not, I won't mind either way, as I won't be using it..you can LAN it and play online and that's all I care about.

they list 1-2 players, but i think thats for co-op, not split screen .

It would be pretty disappointing if they didn't throw in two-player splitscreen, as well. Even beter would be guests! If I want to have a friend over to play Live at the moment, we're stuck with Halo 2 or (eeew!) Perfect Dark Zero.

anyone know how many people its going to support in a match???? i am starting to get a little disspointed by the lack of big numbers in the 360 titles. both prey and call of duty only support 8 and they both lag like crazy. I know mp was running at E3 with 8. i say it is fine as long as it doesn't lag but apparently P3 warhawk and Resistance Fall of man are both gonna have 32.

I don't care how many people a game can hold in one match, as long as it's fun... I remember in Black Hawk Down on the original Xbox it could hold like 64 or something like that... but I hated that game cause you would always get spawn killed if you were in a full server...

that also lists it as only xbox live aware for xbox live funstions even though weknow its going to be online multiplayer.

I see your point, but in some games, alot of people playing would take away from the game. I like the 4 on 4 games on COD2 btw. All the maps are reasonably small. (I hate how many people get in servers on the PC, you die every two seconds and turns the game into a pray and spray mindless shooter)

I would be really pissed off! The best feature of the Xbox platform is Xbox Live! WHy not support it? Luckily we will see some intense onlin firefights.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a splitscreen deathmatch mode, including the ability to carry guests onto Xbox Live. Some of my best XBL memories are sitting with me and some idiot friends on Perfect Dark Zero...

ghost recon advanced warfighter. that game is great, and similar in design to this (of course gears is better, but over the shoulder camera, designing your own characters online, etc.)

Farccry Instincts: Predator holds 16. And again, ghost recon can hold... 16 or 20.

Well, your friends could get the game and you could find each other and play with them. It would be better so you don't have to do split screen.

Personally I couldn't care less about split-screen, I'd never use it even if it was included. I can't stand playing split-screen on anything....

If my friends came around to my house, saw me playing Gears and wanted a go....fine. All they'd need to do is go and buy THEIR OWN FRICKIN XBOX 360 AND THEIR OWN DAMN COPY OF GEARS!!!

Not having 4 player split screen would really take away from the whole approach here. It's tactical stop-and-pop gameplay hear, communication and strategy are going to be a large part in this game so without that option I feel they would be hurting themselves. I vote really mad if they leave this out
