Resident Evil 4 is great for many reasons, but lets face it, I know I almost burnt my beans when I first got my head whacked off by that Chainsaw! What other games can you think of with saws?

What was that fighting game for the sega genesis. I think it was Timeshifters or something like that. You could cut off limbs and decapitate people. One guy had a chainsaw.

i wanna know though what some of the other melee moves are with the different weapons. i wonder if the weapon you're using changes the melee attack. i remember reading that there was a melee attack where you would shove a grenade into an enemy's mouth or something, that sounds cool....
HorTyS
I hope they do something like that with a grenade in GoW. I remember how freakin excited I was when I played the first Call of Duty and your two squadmates jump up on the German tank in the first level (was it called Carentan?). One of em lifts the lid off the thing and empties half a thompson clip into the hole, then the other guy hucks a nade in there and they hightail it. Exciting stuff.

i know a game it is slightly old and not for 360 but you get a chainsaw and you have to mow down zombies it is called evil dead it is pretty fun but it is older the zombies are not all slow moving but look like crazy monkeys with white eyes and razor shrp claws i have not played in a long time so w/e
The original Unreal Tournament had it when you enabled the Chainsaw Mutator.
You could either damage you opponent in close combat or swing it to cut of the head.
EDIT:
You could also use the Arena Mutator, so that everybody had nothing but the chainsaw. It is great fun once in a while in LAN or matches against bots.
Both mutators come with vanilla UT GoTY.

Grand Theft Auto SanAndreas, woohhh!! altho you really didnt enjoy the chainsawing..
Thus, Dec 3, 2006. At last, reached my goal, 1000 headshots.
Saw Is Family
And I heard as it were the noise of thunder One of the four beasts saying: 'Come and see
And I saw, and behold a white horse And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts
And I looked and behold a pale horse and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed him
Errr....no, Chainsaws cut.
Anyways, yup games with chainsaws are pretty cool (but if done right, IMHO) and what started it all for me was when I played the Origional Doom.
When I got my hands on the Chainsaw in Doom for the first time I just played around with it for nearly an hour. Some games have done some pretty funky things with Chainsaws such as Heavy Metal FAKK 2 featuring a chainsaw sword and a Chainsaw Bayonet on the end of an Assault Rifle (which would be the Lancer) in Gears of War. Now how crazy is that? But the dullest use of a chainsaw was in the expansion for Quake 2 called "Ground Zero". Great Expansion, but the Chainsaw (which was a special device you attach to your arm and use it like an arm sword of some kind) was so dull I never *ever* used it even once!
Here's to hoping that the Chainsaw Bayonet makes a return in a second Gears of War game (If Epic gets around to making it).
I think Gears has a strong RE4 vibe in it, except for the pacing/movment which is slower/more restricting and feels more "frankensteinish" in RE4.
The game (RE4) on the PC using the 360 controller has almost the same layout as Gears too; "X" is for action, "A" is for running, "A+ Joy down" spins you around.
The aiming system (and the camera) is also very similar, though the control layout is different on both games.
Gears of War is not the first game to provide a chainsaw to players, but they sure do it the best!
There is no greater feeling than sneaking up on someone and sawing them, or cutting down a rushing shotgunner.
Gushy, squishy, Gnasher gibbing fun
dead rising has chainsaws
didnt castle wolfenstein have them too?
