I'm looking for some help and advice on my character, seen as epic and xbox live support are of no use! here's my problem

i have have a level 45 red character and he gets downed too easily, 1-2 shots with the gnasher close up or from distance im either down or dead, i however have to give them at least 5-6 shots to even down them, im not claiming to be the best aimer in the world but i know i definately hit them, because over half of my assists come from these battles, my highest assist was 119 i hit them 7 times and he downed me within 2 shots, now i know part of my problems are my internet speed which is about 7meg, my aim which im trying to improve on but while confronted with this problem mean 'dick' i cannot cope with this it is really frustrating/annoying also this is the same when im active they just seem to sponge my shots, so can anyone help or advise me please?

I'm not exactly sure what your asking.
The reason your going down so easily is probably an active + hard aim.
The reason you take so many shots might be you don't active and are blindfiring.
I'm not really sure what else to tell you.

no i hardly ever blind fire and yes i do active, but just doesnt seem to have any effect on most players, i have a fairly good aim, there are a few matches i play were im spot on and getting kills so i know im not a rubbish player!

I am confused as well. Your level doesnt matter when it comes to kills or downing. The further you are away the less likely you might be to get spot on shots. and the closer you are they will down you quicker with a shotgun. This is likewise for you also. Just keep at it and if you ever want to play send me a message.

Your ping to the servers is probably high. That matters much more than your download or upload speed.

@ DenyTheFlesh, i looked at that and it was like 130s i phone my provider and they put me on a different profile now its around 89 what should it be about and do you know how to change this?

There's not much you can do about it, but 89 is much better than 130. Some of it is your connection and some of it is just based on distance. A wired connection will usually have a lower ping than wireless and connecting directly to the modem instead of using a router can help too. Other than that you can't really do much.

That is still smoking high ping, but just depends on where you are testing it and how far away that server is. speedtest.net is pretty good. Don't trust the provider's own ping test. My ping with TW's test is always about 8/9, but it's always in the 30s elsewhere. Sometimes higher, but usually in the 30s. Ping is king. As others said. Not sure what you are asking. Help aiming? Try hard aiming. Strafe more so you aren't getting hit. 1 or 2 shots close it should mean death or a down to you. The further shots, well that could be active and hard aiming. Good shots. It happens. It's Gears. As for your Red level whatever character. Red levels mean nothing. You could be a white level 1 and it wouldn't change things. It just means you play alot when you have a higher number/colour. Take no stock in it. It dont' make you good and it don't make you bad. Two people can play the same length of time and one could be the highest rank in the game and the other could be half way. It is what it is. Some people are just better than others and get more points.

I don't know a lot about all that connection stuff but may be the player u r trying to shoot have a bad connection! I mean u upload ur shots at X speed and they download the shots at 0.X speed so that might be an issue :/ and as for ur speed I have .6 connection

ok i understand the level system, and i do use an ethernet cable always have, i will investigate this 'ping', i know its not a common problem but i appreciate your input and advice guys thanks for your time

All i could really say is its your ping, try resetting modem/router.
