Not much is known about the Gear, other than he had a Wife, a 2 year old son, and a brother who was also a Gear.
The fact that both Delta and Alpha Squad spoke about the guy and seemed upset by his death (more so than they were about Anthonys) suggest he was a good part of the team and well liked.
Because he died at the start of Gears of War 1, we didn't get to see him alive, but a prequel is a good chance to introduce him.

It would be cool if we say him i really liked his brother Federic in the novels, but i doubt it since he and Gyules were just random red shirts who were put in the story just to show "death". But if they did put him in as a mention that would be neat

The fact his brother is an active character within the novels opens up a space for him as a character.

Well he was in a couple chapters in the novel Aspho Fields and thats about it, he hasn't shown up in any of the other comics or novels.

It seemed that Jan Rojas had some connection to Augustus Cole and Damon Baird (as well as Dominic Santiago, but that isn't related to Gears of War: Judgment) so we could see Rojas make an appearance, possibly if Garron Paduk or Sofia Hendrik were to die, we could see him take their place.
